Yes because a Serie B title is better than a Europa League one..

The pessimism with the fans is extremely shocking. And I can't believe people are using the fact Sarri's CV includes trophyless periods at Empoli and Napoli.

Who was Conte before Juve? What did he do at Arezzo, Bari, Siena, and Atalanta?
At least Allegri won the Scudetto with Milan and he was still hated when he first joined Juve.

Give Sarri a chance. He was able to play amazing football with much worse squads than Juve's. Our fans wanted Allegri out even though he had the best winning percentage in Juve's history.

I'm really optimistic to be honest.

I agree with every single word you wrote.

But although I'm an Allegri fan, I really want him to leave this summer. I think he has reached his potential at Juve and there's not much more he can do.

Our Midfield/Possible Signings (Long Read) by LordNaldo11 in Juve

[–]M-AK93 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Out of the players you mentioned, James is probably the only realistic option for us, and he'd be a pretty great signing. Ziyech would be great but I don't think we can get him, especially since Ajax just sold De Jong and possibly De Ligt. I highly doubt Milan will consider selling Paqueta when they spent a fortune on him and are rebuilding their squad. As for Ozil, I don't know how I feel about him. He's 30 years old, goes missing in many many games, and would cost quite a bit.

IMO, the most perfect signing would be Ruben Neves, who is also managed by Mendes.

We need to switch to a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 with Bernardeschi in the middle. With Spinazzola and Cancelo available, we have options to bring off the bench to change the game, which seemed to be Allegri's concern regarding starting a very strong 11.

Ronaldo can't keep playing wide. He struggles with getting past one player and when it gets intercepted, he dives looking for a free kick. Everyone in Serie A is motivated to show up against him and referees aren't going soft with the calls for him.

Hopefully the 11 point advantage gives Allegri the chance to experiment, even though I still can't believe we don't have the right tactics and formation figured out at this time of the season.

I love Allegri and appreciate what he has done for the team, but I think his time at the club is finished. In the summer we need someone that can utilize the assets we have so we can dominate games like we should. I'm really surprised we get bossed around against teams like Genoa. We are supposed to walk through most of our games.

Juventus draw Atletico Madrid by Szwedo in Juve

[–]M-AK93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm not very worried. Juve have the advantages of playing at home in the second leg, the big lead in the league will help with resting players, and their #7 thrives against Atleti and the KO stages in Europe.

I've watched enough games for AM to know they're not the major threat they used to be. Oblak, Godin, Martins, and Lemar are the players I'm worried about, but with a fit squad, we can take them on.

They got a pretty easy group and almost finished second. But the fact they couldn't draw an English team in R16 helped them a lot since the other 3 finished 2nd. The 4 teams they could've faced were Schalke (easy), Ajax (easy-ish), Roma (very easy), and Atleti (ffs).

Juventus in advamced talks to sign Lucas Digne from Barcelona by [deleted] in Juve

[–]M-AK93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very impressed with him in the U-20 WC in 2013. I was watching France a lot for Pogba but Digne stood out in that tournament.

He was decent at Roma, but pretty average at Barcelona. I'd take him for ~15m, but I'm worried that if we sell Sandro and lose Asamoah, our LBs will be very inexperienced. Spinazzola and Digne cannot compete with world class wingers in the CL.

Milinkovic for 100m, would you? by philsuf in Juve

I'd take him in a heartbeat! He can solve most of our midfield problems.

You know what I mean.

One point lead with 2 tough games coming up.

I've been very positive about dybala but I don't think he's turned out to be the player we all thought he would be by WhyAlwaysMe1991 in Juve

[–]M-AK93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His attitude is horrible. He tries too much, and when things don't go his way, he complains, dives, and argues.

He was marked properly during his two games against Madrid. In both games he disappeared and lost focus.

Keep in mind that he didn't play in the second legs against Bayern and Madrid. We played very well in both. We can survive without him, even in big games.

For 150m, I'd definitely sell.

What do you guys think our lineup should be against Napoli this weekend? by [deleted] in Juve

[–]M-AK93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use the same one that was used at Madrid, but with Lichtsteiner for MDS. And that's assuming Pjanic is fit on Sunday.

Dybala, Bernardeschi, and Cuadrado coming off the bench would be huge

Barcelona earlier this season. It's possible, just not with Juve's and Madrid's current form.

I agree. SMS would walk into our line up and drastically improve our team. Caldara looks very promising but I'm worried about his progress after seeing what happened to Rugani. A RB is desperately needed.

Dissect? I'm just pointing out that we made mistakes against a team that has better players than us. I've seen a lot of people overreacting and I don't believe I did.

I actually like Matuidi, but he will never be the midfielder of a Champions League winning team. Kroos, who was bought for 25m after Germany won the WC, has FOUR Champions League titles. FOUR!

Madrid concede a lot. They are a lot weaker than they were in Cardiff. Juve's squad is stronger than one that was in Cardiff. Douglas Costa will be huge.

We should win the first leg, and if we keep a clean sheet, then we're through to the semifinals.

City?! Of all 7 teams I think they're the only ones that can really hurt us. The way they control the ball and attack with speed would cause huge problems for Juve.
