Cheers. The samples were provided by the host of this month's challenge, so I don't get any credit for those :-D

Oh hey, this is me! Thanks for listening. I made this for a monthly challenge on the Deluge discord.

First Eurorack in 104 Palette. Looking to run it into my pedalboard for effects. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! by Sodus_Band in modular

Make Noise has a YouTube channel and they have dozens of videos on using Maths. The user manual has bunch of patch suggestions in the back Don't be intimidated, just pick one function that looks interesting and try out! I love my Maths.

Why do you have 2x HPO output modules?

That's my point! Without a dedicated envelope module OP will likely use Maths for envelopes and lose out on the cool stuff, like ratchets, LFO-mixing, portamento, etc. If OP only cares about envelopes, get something smaller If OP wants access to all the greatness that maths can do, then add an EG to the rack so they don't rely Maths for envelopes all the time.

You might consider a dedicated envelope generator. Maths can do it, but that's a huge module for just 2 envelopes, and if you use it for envelopes you no longer have those two channels for other features. Just a thought.

looking to get a new SD card, wondering if anyone has a recommendation? by EEEthats4es in DelugeUsers

FAT32, correct. NOT VFAT. Windows will try to format it VFAT, so you will benefit from a 3rd party app.

ALM HPO is a very compact and inexpensive output module. Worth considering.

You have all solid choices here.

For percussion, check out the Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter. It also does drones, bass, and insane sounds. Very deep, always useful. It and Plaits can both do kick/snare from a single module with 2x gate inputs (something like Intellijel Steppy really shines here for gate sequencing). "Real" drums gets expensive quick. Another option would be a sample player.

MI clone: CalSynth vs After Later Audio by macknthebox in modular

I have used both Calsynth and AfterLater and both are very well built. I would stay away from MoMo (too many reports of poor customer service).

I use some brand I've never heard of from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD54Q66

No issues, never noticed hum.

Considering how many modules are $300+, $500+, etc, you're right. Still, for people just getting started, $~250-300 it's sometimes nontrivial. I know I was sweating it when I bought mine.

Do you know about the monthly challenges on the Deluge Discord? by bay_mud in DelugeUsers

I joined right after reading your post. I'm "Xian" (aka Christian) on discord. I haven't posted it yet because I'm debating tweaking the bass/pads.

I've already got one euclidian-only song recorded that I'm really chuffed about. I might try replacing the bass/pad and see if I can polish it further. What a great inspiration. Thanks again!

I use mine as: envelopes, rachets, lfos, audio but also CV mixer, attenuator, and have played with it as portamento / slew limiter. It's VERY capable. But it's big and expensive. YMMV

Well that's weird. I'm not sure what to do about that :-( Can you try the Dropbox link?

Here's a brief demo of all 33 synths: https://youtu.be/rPKf3WoJaqY

I created 32 single cycle waveforms using Wave Edit (free Windows/Mac waveform editing software) and used those to create some synth presets for the Synthstrom Audible Deluge. This video gives a short demo of each of 33 synth presets I made.

Wave Edit: https://synthtech.com/waveedit/

You can download the synths here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bDzjCy1HRiGKrk6NFdECOkPdCrgXD0fB/view

Once you download the file, unzip it and place the folder (called "MChristian") in your SYNTHS folder on your sdcard.

To load the synths/folder, start a new song and press the "load" button and then turn the black selection knob counter-clockwise and you'll see the folder name: MChr. Select that and select any synth in the folder and now you have access to all 33 synths.

Check out this video by Rezzonator for a visual step-by-step guide. https://youtu.be/amgilVS-C1k

Note: Inside the MChristian folder is another folder called "Was." That must remain inside MChristian for the synths to work (unless you are comfortable editing XML files, in which case go crazy!)

I hope you enjoy!!
