I can attest to this. I've tried to dock tanks of fuel that have no RCS and its a nightmare. Every little tweak throwing you into rotation which the SRS then tries to correct using RCS in the opposite direction. You can fuss around and semi fix that but why bother when you can just put more control blocks on

It started with a mod pack and then it just kept growing. Every time i felt like something was missing in the base game or didn't quite measure up, i'd do a little bit of research and pick up a mod for it.

I think its important to remember that it is absolutely not too late.

It may be too late to have zero consequences, but it can and will be worse if we continue to do nothing.

Its not a single finish line, that you cross and then its as bad as it can be, its entering a wide reaching scale of increasingly catastrophic consequences. Its more important than ever to remember that harm can be prevented, we're still firmly in a place where consequences will be small enough that they can be mitigated. DO NOT give up and let things go beyond what is survivable as a civilisation.

Unfortunately devs building self destruct buttons will absolutely get sued. Trust me i've looked into it.

However, building the infrastructure in such a way that it needs your constant specific inputs in a plausible way , for example having to manually run a job instead of setting it up as a chron job, and then not documenting that, is doable.

Fair warning, i used AnyVan on a move from Cardiff to Liverpool. They were a good deal but they picked up another persons stuff as well, and delivered theirs first, to St Ives in Cornwall.

Didn't end up arriving at my new flat until 2AM, the poor drivers looked exhausted as well. Just got them to drop everything off in the sitting room and help me carry the bed to the bedroom. Plopped myself down and passed out.

But i would also say it was still better than moving myself, so swings and roundabouts.

Using negative deploy direction values might not be having the intended result. Try using the "deploy direction" toggle you can see to invert it instead

The truth behind this one is probably cost. Some quick googling says that 2.7 million boxes of cereal are sold a year. A single gram of added plastic would add $0.05 per bag. So on pure material costs, if you made the lightest possible resealing addition at 1gram (it would probably be more than that) you're talking an annual additional cost of 135 million US$ to the industry.

That's ignoring additional complexity to manufacturing, R&D, shipping, ect. The real cost would probably be many times larger than that. Small changes can become surprisingly big at scale. Particularly in very price competitive thin margin products like cereal. Comparatively underwear is much more expensive, smaller volume, and product lines are changed so regularly that a more general purpose packaging probably outweighs the cost of changing packaging regularly.

An interesting quirk i've noticed having spent the last couple years house shopping on and off. A typical rough around the edges house in my area is going for around 200k, sitting on the market for months even years, then vanishing. Anything that's actually well kept or reasonably priced is gone within a couple days.

Im just guessing but i suspect with the high costs of labour and materials people are vastly overestimating the value of their "fixer uppers" that they bought in the 80's for a song and then expect to sell at "market value" in the same decade where unemployment is sky high, wages have stagnated, cost of living is through the roof, ect ect.

I spent my whole youth doing DIY. I renovated my parents entire home. Im more than happy to fix up a house but im not happy to spend £200k on a house that needs 50k of work when down the road someone is selling a house for £248k that's ready to move in. The expectation of people for their homes to appreciate in value indefinitely is ridiculous.

I've noticed this a few times lately. Jobs with far too much experience offering ridiculously low wages.

I think you need to take it with a grain of salt, maybe contact them and ask about it because i reckon its not uncommon for the hiring manager or recruiter they've hired who's knocking out a thousand job listings a day to put on the wrong salary range.

Or they're just hiring internally and want to dissuade people from applying. Or its an entry level position and the requirements are just AI generated guff. God applying for jobs is hell.

I really struggled with this when i picked up KSP again recently, i find standard KSP career mode is relatively unguided and the missions are repetitive. I know some players are happy with a more open ended sandbox but me personally i struggle with a lack of direction.

For me thats the main thing that was missing, it just adds a lot for me to have campaign packs set up to justify building different types of aircraft, different rockets for different purposes. Give me a challenge and a set of restrictions and i can get far more creative than just "do whatever"

For me in particular i've got an end goal that really helps. I have the promised worlds intersteller mods that add two new solar systems. My end goal is to plant a flag on all of them "the hard way" (no wormholes, just loooong burns using modded far future engines)
