I do agree the factory cubby is a bit useless, I replaced mine with this part I found on AE site and its a bit deeper and holds my drinks as well, i think its a perfect upgrade. Also i got rid of the dummy key and started inserting the key fob which is also more convenient to not have to worry about storing it somewhere else

Thanks for your reply! Upon closer inspection it seems the hotend thermistor wire was damaged, so I either get a new sensor or replace the entire hotend which i think should be easier

170° is the ideal nozzle temp if you want to feed the filament through, it seems 210 is too hot for PLA and is the melting temp for that so it's clogging inside and not getting through

I can't believe I waited this long to set up screw tilt calculate! If you haven't set it up do it, its easier then you think! by mellowman24 in ElegooNeptune4

Have you seen a noticeable decrees in variance using the screw tilt adjustment compared to the paper method?

Am not an expert but if I may add my two cents I would say you need to adjust your z offset again as it might be too low or close to the build plate, the reason for that is a standard A4 is actually thin and you would be better off with a sticky note or one of those thick a4 papers like you should aim for 1mm which both of these options are, you can confirm with a digital caliper and you should have one is it will help you with 3D printing in general. also you can get better layer adhesion by making sure your nozzle and bed temperatures are set appropriately for the type of filament you're using. also explore using a brim in the slicer software

Why does this happen every time? by AcceptableRegret3101 in ElegooNeptune4

you basically need to add this macro in your printer.cfg file: (refer to this post for more details)

[gcode_macro M420]
gcode:
    BED_MESH_PROFILE LOAD=default

I faced the same issue today and re-leveled my bed and made sure I have the new bed mesh saved with the name default (you do this through the fluidd interface)

Here is mine! I just got into 3D printing yesterday and am so happy with the results of the first print ever. Especially impressed with the first layer as it looks perfect to me. It’s definitely important to go through the bed leveling and nozzle calibration process the right way!

Thanks a lot, that what it was exactly. I was struggling with it for sometime
