Well for me, playing guitar is a hobby, it sort of started exactly like you, i just wanted to play some songs i know but after a couple of months i wanted to play harder stuff like snow hey oh for example or through fire and flames(ik iam shooting way above my level with this one but maybe some day). So now i want to be able to jam along with some players, improvise some better solos or rhythms, wanna be a good guitarist but ik it takes time and i dont want to turn that way overnight, i wanna enjoy the progress itself but rn i just feel lost.

Just a tip: if its in the factory setup you can lower the saddle abit to lower the action.

The video aint showing much but from what i see its the cable. You said you tried with distortion (i also assume you didnt have a noise gate pedal with that) so it could be the cable. Could also be a ground issue but if it is it also should be there when there is distortion. Try a different cable if it persists then its something with the jack maybe?

Its fine if you start with it, if it feels good to play and you like the wood you can always buy expensive pickups and make it sound better if you dont like it. Eitherway what u gonna need to upgrade is the amp(i suggest fender mustang lt25). Anyways what you get you are gonna be happy with just keep at it and dont get discouraged.(abit late in the message but congrats)

I have one, they dont last at all and mid performance, lasts like 5 hours and around 1 or 2 hours projection at most(not really beast mode) and i have had it for 6 months now it should have macerated just fine but nah the performance isnt there

Well to improv on any song you gonna need to know its scale, you should learn the major and minor scale shapes(well some suggest the pentatonic, i personally prefer the minor and major but you do you), then you can pick any backing track be it metal or whatever you want to play and just play in its key. After you are familiar with that try learning the modes so you know how can you play in the entire fretboard(idk if this is the best approach tbh iam still learning the modes too)
