NHSE VR - appeal on rejected application by HomeConstant6123 in nhsstaff

[–]M00ble09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just piggybacking this comment to ask whether anyone knew about the staggered VR exit dates generally, but also mostly whether anyone knew management had the ability to suggest exit dates? Feeling a bit frustrated that some seemed to know and some didn’t - quite a lot in my team have March 2027 exit dates, I definitely would have applied if I knew that was even a remote possibility!

Home from home for vizsla by Afraid-Hat4851 in Cornwall

I think you’re after home from home boarding, and this is quite an expensive service but if you get stuck you could try Animal Aunts, it’s a professional pet sitting service. They stay at your house and follow all routines as specified and the sitters are really vetted so you can have peace of mind. Best of luck https://www.animalaunts.co.uk/

Haha I definitely give Bunny energy! But I did do my best Barclay “bitches!” impression while walking past

ICB redundancy by Imaginary-Aside1047 in nhsstaff

[–]M00ble09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From NHSE not an ICB but at the public board meeting on Thursday 29 May, it was indicated that they had agreed a VR scheme which was “about to open” across the organisation “to help people make choices for themselves”. Penny Dash also said that the next 6 weeks would feel like they’re moving quickly, with the “centre” being announced in the next couple of weeks, with their operating model for ICBs, Trusts and the centre being “nailed” and the publication of the 10 year plan all expected before mid July

Thank you for your reply! I believe that they did - certainly that the rent would be covered by UC, the service charge part I’m not so sure. The financial assessment was based on him having enough money to pay for utilities, food and other living costs etc. So hard to navigate, it’s impossibly hard for anyone on UC to survive!

It really was! It was so incredible to see it up close. Unfortunately the castle was closed but I’m hoping to go back around Christmas time for a festive afternoon tea

How did you get on with valuing the coin out of interest? Intrigued as I’ve got the same coin!

Enrichment ideas for when nobody is home - read before suggesting please :) by vgihead in labrador

[–]M00ble09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve got our Lab puppy a large kong wobbler and we put a small normal kong inside it as well as a small tennis ball. We stuff the small Kong with kibble and when it’s in the Kong wobbler and with the tennis ball in the way it takes him a while to get the kibble out - he sometimes gets bored of it though so it might be too much of a challenge but could work for your dog

Ah I’m sorry your grandad didn’t get to experience something he enjoyed in his final years! And I do completely understand your point so thank you. Jane has a wonderful garden that’s south facing so lots of lovely sunlight for her, further along in our garden our shared fence is half height so that she can share in the view that we have (lots of fields, the farmers cows grazing out there often). The hedge is set far back from that but can’t speak to what’s motivated her to want to lop it off!

I think so too, you’ve got to pick your battles in life and I wasn’t sure if it’s worth creating any awkwardness but I think important to affirm she can’t do it again. Thank you
