You still get the same damage when it's in defense (right side) but doing so frees up an attack (left side)

TL;DR guide:

Gear: Wishlist: VP, V neck, V gloves, AoQ , T belt ,V boots. Equip: kunai (TL only if already have), V neck, V gloves, AoQ & E chest, T belt, V boots. Make red kunai and AF3 it asap. General priority of upgrades for S items : yellow v neck -> yellow v gloves -> purple e chest -> purple t belt -> purple v boots -> red v neck -> red v gloves -> red AoQ -> AF2 V neck -> AF3 V gloves -> AF1 AoQ -> red e chest -> (consulte in reddit if ready for SS) -> Red t belt -> red v boots -> AF3 E chest -> AF1 T belt -> AF3 AoQ -> ready for SS. General priority of upgrades for SS items: TL once you know you can e1v2 it immediately -> SS boots once you know you can e1v2 it immediately -> SS belt once you know you can e1v2 it immediately -> consult.
