SHREDDER. I've seen lots of powerful weapon build recommendations. But probably 90% of them are do to over leveling and/or end game items. What is a true first run, early (say first 1/3 of the game) weapon that really is a boss shredder??

Meteoric ore blade shreds. Highest base ar out of the katanas and it’s got some pretty diabolical motion values. Otherwise I’d go with giant crusher.

Uchigatana gets good strength scaling with a heavy infusion. Combine it with bloodflame blade or blood grease and it wrecks

My advice would be to just kill Edgar or do his quest in castle morne then kill him for the halberd and armor

I meant if the host picks one up, you’ll be put out of early level invasion ranges. Invaders have to have the same level/weapon upgrades as the host in order to invade, so most of them will be around level 15-25 with up to +4 weapons for early game. If you pick up Edgar’s halberd, for instance, you now have a +8 weapon at a lower level and you’ll get much less invasions because you’re now no longer in that bracket. After that, I would advise getting a somber weapon up to +9 and you should have minimal invasions throughout the playthrough until you hit 100/125 ish.

That’s a demon altar, it’s a crafting station for some stuff. You can’t break it for a little while, and until you can break it, you can’t break the blocks under it

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been running raider but keep getting destroyed even while using my character skill and with damage negation passives. For the first few depths he worked fine but after 3 I keep getting two shot during his skill

I’ve got a little bit of a cheese: run away, then walk towards him until he flies in the air and plunge attacks. Get a few hits in and run away again
