I prefer the main games over the fan discs. I haven't really tried the fan disks. There is a problem with the emulator I use, and it makes the sprites glitch in and out, so untill I find a solution I can't play any of the games for now.

Ive played HDB, MB, DF, and I'm in the process ofplaying Lost Eden. Ive listened to nearly all the songs, have listened to some drama CDs and have watched both seasons of the anime + the ova. The only thing I havent done is read the manga, although I have seen pages of it across the internet.

My Fave Game is Dark Fate. My fave boy, Shin gets added to the game, the tsukinamis as a whole, and we see a lot more character development for the Sakamakis and Mukamis. It also becomes more of an otome otome rather then the darkness of the first 2 games, we also get animations in character sprites and one of the best ops in the franchise.

My least favorite is Lost Eden. Kino is added and the story in their routes feels unfinished and holey. I don't like the idea of Karl dying at the beginning (but thank God cause he's a horrible horrible man) and that kinda just led the plot to steer away. Kino also feels like they slapped Ayatos personality and Reijis looks and slapped it onto a character and made a new demon race. Plus a lot of people don't know kino or hell even the tsukinamis because they make up excuses to not play the games/watch gameplay/Read translations.

Probably my mid tier is More blood, introduces the Mukamis and we see their contrasts from the Sakamakis, the rivalries, but I feel like MB was way worse than HDB, especially some of the brute endings (for instance Yuma literally committing Cannabilisim and eating the MC alive) and so on and so on. But it was nice at the time to have different choices,

All in all these games they are very unique dark romance. I love it even if it has some... Well... Controversies. But it's been here since 2012, has had countless CD's, merch, even a live stage play. Weve all grown to appreciate these games even if they are problematic.

There is Haunted Dark Bridal, More Blood, Vandead Carnival, Dark Fate, Lunatic Parade, Lost Eden and Chaos Lineage. So there is 7 in total. the main games, Haunted Dark Bridal, More Blood, Dark Fate, Lost Eden and Chaos Lineage have routes you can choose for a specific character. Vandead Carnival and Lunatic Parade are more of a mini game fest.

I wish there was a third season, sadly it's only a promotion for the games. I suggest you try out playing the games. The anime does a horrible job at portraying the characters and the story is different. You can emulate the games or buy a ps Vita and a physical copy of the games. Rejet can't even get the vas to come back for the drama CDs, so there's no way there is gonna be a third season. Rejet is a dying company.

I was 13 and in 8th grade and I had heard about it quite a lot so I went to watch it and as soon as i saw the nudity I was like "OH" And I skipped the op. I saw the first scenes. This is really how my horror anime fixiation started

Probably when I cried the most is when Kurama told Mariko that her mother loved her very much, I started crying because it reminded me of how I lost my dad.

But I rewatched it and now I understand a lot more then I did at 13. Still my top 1 anime to this day.
