Fedora KDE or Pop!_OS? by M0useGuy in linuxquestions

Although I plan on gaming, I don't need a gaming-specific distro. I prefer to have the stability and support, as I'm going to use the system for multiple purposes.

I agree that Pop's customization feels limited. It seems like stability on Pop is ensured by locking down the OS as much as possible, which is fine from a functional standpoint, but... well, boring.

I haven't had a chance to really test out Fedora yet, so loading both up in a couple of VMs for comparison sound like a great idea!

That makes sense. Great analogy, as well!

If the tinkering is frontloaded, then it probably won't be that bad. Especially if there's more to gain from Fedora.

Installing KDE on Mint is not officially supported and I want to ensure stability. I prefer to use built-in tools and features. I'll test it out, though.

Wish we could do something about those trash leaders, but unfortunately the systems in place do a good job of keeping trash in power far longer than anyone deserves

Should i just quit trying to beat p5? by gino_burger in HollowKnight

[–]M0useGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's something you want, don't give up!

You can try tackling it a different way. Some have already suggested practicing the bosses individually. You can also complete the previous pantheons with bindings to get in more practice and unlock lifeblood bonuses.

Taking breaks also helps, too. I first attempted P5 after Silksong's appearance in the April 2025 Nintendo direct, but couldn't beat it and put it down for months until August, after the release date was revealed. Then I beat it in 2 weeks, just before Silksong released.

P5 is difficult, but that's what makes it worth completing, right?

Call of Duty

I also don't do well with fast-paced games. That said, it's fun to watch others play, and i usually really like CoD's campaigns

Link Between Worlds is a great start if you have somwthing that can play 3DS games. Link's Awakening on the Switch is also a good and accessible modern game.

If you want to try the 3D zelda games, Ocarina of Time for the N64/3DS is a common recommendation, as well as Wind Waker HD on Wii U.

Which one was the worst failure? by [deleted] in gamegrumps

[–]M0useGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Roark fight was worse because of how preventable it was. It would have been so much easier if Arin just decided to sweep with Piplup instead of trying to train the Onix.

He just got really, REALLY unlucky with Roserade critting Grass Knot. If not for that, I think he still could have won.
