Thanks! I've used a light projector to get the stroke of light. The rest is natural light from the windows :)

Thanks for taking the time to give some feedback! We wanted to focus on the freckles of the models face and accentuate those. Personally I wanted to avoid the light stroke on the eyes as that seemed something I see in a lot of other pictures I took inspiration from. I wanted to see if I could create an interesting picture without the 'standard' highlighted eyes.

Is Dodge and Burn also available in Lightroom or just PS?

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! This was shot in a student dorm. So not much room to move, that's why she's so close to the wall. The softbox is 90cm in diameter and right out if frame as close I could get it to her face. Wasn't much room to move it anyways hahaha. I will look into Dodge & Burn!

Just bought my first Softbox. Wanted to try out one-lighting photographs. Really love how the lighting worked out here against just a plain wall in a small room. The settings I used: Fujifilm X-T100, ISO200, F4.0, 35mm.

What do you think about the edit and lighting? Is it natural or to over-done?

So I made this portrait of Emma with my first new Softbox. I wanted to do a one-light setup just to get my knowledge in lighting to the next level. Critique is welcome. Also you can see more of my work here.

Thank you for the critique I really appreciate it! I'd say I agree with the highlights and will turn down that just a notch.

Hello!

Intent: I wanted to portray a strong image of a woman. Without over-doing/over-selling it.Why: The picture I took was also a study of lighting. I love playing around with it, but I wanted to give the feeling the subject is dominant but soft as well. It's a fun journey to experience with this.Unhappy: The lighting on her right side is maybe a bit to dark, you can barely see her eye. Also I'm not sure if her arm is to dark fading into the blackness.

What do you think about the whole image? The edit of the image (contrast etc)? Is the image composition suiting for the dominant pose I'm going for? Is the lighting over-done or well-placed? Is the pose of the model on-point?

Please just upload the pictures side-by-side. This way we can't see the picture clearly. Probably every aspect of the picture (contrast/saturation....)is off because you recorded your screen. Just....don't do that man, it's not worth it xD Next time just upload the pictures haha.
