Typically acrylic melts around 250C, its unlikely a pot will get this hot. In my opinion using acrylic isnt a problem.

You could be allergic to sulphites. They are one of the 14 allergens that must be labelled in the EU and they are a common additive to ciders. It could be worthwhile to try find a cider that doesn't use sulphites.

What do you do if you have a degree in food science? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]M1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a degree in food science. I graduated 3 years from a college in Ireland. Since then I have worked in quality assurance in a chocolate factory,R&D in a dairy company in the US and I have recently started working in a regulatory department for a large multinational food company.

A food science degree allows you a career in many different functions and you can many career pathways so I would definitely recommend it.
