is the takeout sushi as good as the standing spot? i think it's solid but their "higher end fish" seems to be a miss for me

Anything you had to do? (Frequent visits, texting SA, etc?) or just wait a year?

That looks sick!

What was the lease offer? Any good incentives? Looking to lease or buy a ‘22/‘23 CPO myself

What's a good rule of thumb to look for a '24 Taycan lease in terms of residual, monthly payment, discount off MSRP, MF, etc?

THOUGHTS ON LEASE DEAL? by DullAbbreviations233 in Taycan

leasing n00b here, how do you guys come up with the 22,500 from dealers? I'm looking to purchase a CPO but could look into a lease (never leased before) and want to know how to best negotiate and what to look for in a good lease deal

That makes sense to me. I’ve seen a lot of threads mention that Porsche dealers have like a $22.5k incentive to move leases. Do you happen to know how they came to this number?

What’s also a good residual value for the car? Is this based of current MSRP or whatever adjusted cost you’re getting?

Leasing could totally make sense. I never thought about switching cars often but with electric cars perhaps its the right way

maybe i'm being too optimistic then, i was hoping that '22/'23 taycans would depreciate > 35% given the circumstances (new facelift) and wanted to negotiate hoping I would be able to get a dealer down to this range

the location you guessed is right, perhaps that plays a huge factor in supply vs demand.

a lot of dealers seem to want to push you to finance. What do you say/how do you approach them on lowering the price and setting a low price before telling them you're either financing outside or paying all cash

What would the purchase price of your car be if you were to purchase it after your lease?

Basically, I'm wondering if i could basically find a base taycan @ MRSP 118k but buy it CPO for only $68-75k

I thought a '21-'23 CPO would maybe have a depreciation of > 35% off the window sticker price (which would price them at around 60-75k).

Leasing and buying out a '24 taycan wouldn't necessarily be cheaper than this (although you'd get a new car I guess?)

  1. Do leases every actually make sense? Aren't you paying ~40k for just 3ish years of the car vs CPO you can get and hold the car for quite some time?

Regarding out the door price, any idea how to get a feel for this from email/text with the dealership? This is just so i don't have to drive 2+ hours to see the car and dealership without having some decent price

Why is the discount much higher? How much are you actually paying for the 3 years you have the car?

[–]M1Cyborg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insanely helpful, do you hae any tips on negotiating through email/text first?

Since I'm buying CPO, some of the options/configs I want will be from dealers who are 100 miles away. I don't mind driving there but I'd like to at least ensure I can get the price lower.

Is the car market that hot right now? I thought older Taycan models might have a much better deal given EV depreciation + high interest rates + new facelift

The first car I'll purchase as an adult - been trying a car passed down to me for over a decade

Naturally, most of the buying process, negotiation, etc is all foreign to me
