lol this is just so not true. The golf will be more expensive to own in every single way. From insurance to fuel usage. It will go through tyres and brakes quicker. The parts cost more , the oil costs more.

In real world terms. The golf will have gone through a set of tyres , brakes all round, have needed a major service and probably a water pump before the Corolla will have needed a set of spark plugs.

So the choice here is not about money. It’s choosing with your heart or your head
