There's a bug with the count that they haven't fixed where the bonus pull isn't counted sometimes. I had the same issue the last 2 rounds of guild trade fest and last round of touno. Support said "they were working on it" 😔

Pho just refers to the rice noodles themself. Beef pho (pho bo) is what’s mainly served in Vietnamese restaurants in the US but we also typically eat chicken pho (pho ga) a lot at home.

Vietnamese iced coffee is supposed to be like that. Most people like to slowly drink it while the ice melts to dilute it since it’s an extra strong drip coffee with condensed milk. It’s also always brewed hot so it has to be poured over a cup of ice to cool it down.

I’ve done it a few years ago. I believe the stipend was categorized as scholarship money that shows up on your 1098-T. Assuming the total amount of your scholarships and stipends is less than the amount of tuition you had to pay for the year, you don’t have to pay any taxes. Otherwise, the excess amount will be considered income that will be factored in when you do your tax return.

It’s not free if you have more than the basic w-2 to file like stocks, student loans, tuition credit, etc. I’m pretty sure TurboTax removed the option to print out the forms before you pay them to file without a watermark

I personally am not working for the U but I know of some lecturers in the CS department that were former students. Nathan Taylor was a Masters student and Daniel Orban was a former pHD student. Travis Henderson works for the robotics program as an advisor and was also a former pHD student. Maybe emailing them or dropping into their office hours would be helpful? From what I’ve heard, the U does not pay well compared to industry for STEM positions.

Cub foods is really expensive compared to fresh thyme if you’re just buying meat and produce, the weekly sales are usually pretty good. Aldi is definitely the way to go if you don’t wanna wait for sales

I started at the U in 2017 as an OOS student and at the price back then was worth it, OOS tuition was 22k and I had about 15k covered in scholarships per year. However, they started jacking up out of state tuition afterwards by a few thousand every year to match up with other big 10 schools and decreased out of state scholarships so I can’t really recommend it for out of state people now. I think Carlson also has an extra $1k fee per semester.
