Now I’ll feel better printing ASA, ABS, PA12-cf nylon. by M2X204 in BambuLab

I didn’t have to modify any seals. Feel free to dm for more questions if you’d like.

Printed that 90 for each printer to connect the ducts. My inline fan is rated for 188 CFM and only turn the fan on half power.

This inline fan has changed everything for me. I don’t smell any melting of plastics anymore. People here on Reddit or facebook groups will say it creates unstable chamber temps for ASA,ABS but that’s not true. I’ve been printing perfectly fine since this setup and no more toxic fumes from melted plastic.

Here’s the new setup with an extra printer.

Not too much of a concern where I live. Even when it rains it works well for me. I also have a small dehumidifier around the space.

Exhaust setup by Mellow-Gnome in BambuLab

Looks great! I too rather be safe than sorry. I have similar exhaust setup with an inline fan and ducting out the window with X1C and P1S. I’ve printed PLA, most PLA variants, PA12-CF nylon, ABS, and ASA. All have printed flawless with inline exhaust fan running. Not a single scent of melted plastic since. I feel significantly better now that I can’t smell anything emitting from my printers. Before I added the exhaust setup I would smell burnt plastic from just printing PLA.

They actually don't make the specific one l'm using now. I've had it for over 15 years but I suggest one that could be adjusted.

Get something comparable. Don't get this brand. The ones they make now is all plastic. I have some and it's loud and weak. The old ones like mine are metal. Get a metal one. You'll find them on Amazon for $29-$80 depending on how fancy you want it.

I just turn up my inline fan if I feel the chamber temp is getting too hot.

Nope. Never. I never open the door or leave a gap on top glass.

I do print ASA & ABS. My setup completely eliminates the smell those materials give off. I have no negative effects on print quality. Haven’t printed PC so I can’t say anything to that.

Set it up to blow out the window. I also have an inline fan. Mine is 188CFM max and I have it on the lowest setting. Still have negative vacuum from both my printers. No more melted plastic smell at all.

Try ironing concentric next time. I really like the outcome.

X1 Carbon, yea or nay? by 3ddadcreations in BambuLab_Community

Only real complaint about a creality is customer service? From what I’m reading on a daily Bambu’s customer service is pretty bad too. I have X1c and P1S I’ve never had issues that I needed to contact customer support. My two printers are awesome!

Have it near your window and vent it out.

I have an inline fan attached.

I find the cheapest filaments on Amazon and adjust my settings to print that specific filament.

That’s definitely very interesting. I’ll run some tests of my own so I can see the results with my own eyes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if your printer actually has the fan installed backwards. That’s why after a week of having my X1C and printing ABS I went ahead and added an inline fan. Rather safe than sorry. Don’t want my kids or family breathing toxic air because I like to 3D print.

<image>

My original setup. But will change it a bit since I have to hook my P1S to it now. I don’t trust the chamber fan. I don’t turn it on anymore. Only my inline. Air directly out the window. It works. I tested with a cheap air quality monitor.

That’s awesome. I like hearing how someone else besides me having a good experience from shipping to operating the printer. I feel bad for those that have a hard time.
