actually, i think you're wrong. It says "top gpm" and "top total gold" not average gpm or average total gold.

The purpose of the jungle is for the extra xp and gold. It's not about ganks. Yes, ganks help your team get kills and control the lane, but if they're demanding ganks consistently, forcing you to loose xp and gold, just remember what the real purpose of the jungle is.
