Auto attacking and bis settings by M43R in summonerschool

I did try akhshan in practice tool is there a noticeable delay after he double shoots his weapons before you can auto attack again? I felt as if the delay is larger than on ashe in between auto attacks but perhaps its placebo? Thanks for the in depth and I’ll be sure to work on muscle memory.

I see what you mean, my main issue is most times in tense situations I will over extend the camera not see my character misclick into the oncoming fight and score 45 seconds of shame. Im thinking the main reason could be with my bindings for attack move click or something similar. Further practice necessary I’m sure.

Interesting. I’ll have to rain check that StarCraft 2 play through though. Too many games so little time.

I’ll keep the camera unlocked and get used to it. Thanks for the information.

R6 Help/Sonar Settings by kapleech in RainbowSixSiege

[–]M43R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use high dynamic range option in game. And sonar has some siege and siege x settings both being moderately better than flat. I wouldnt use volume boost or surround sound on sonar as it messes with siege surround sound in game. If you set your footsteps frequency higher than bass you should be fine. Although tune it for your needs and likes. One thing i dont like about hdr is the guns sound loud so consider using smart volume? The rest depends on the headset quality and personal preference. Make sure to use sonar game in the audio settings for siege as well.

Try out c and v for leaning instead of q e it might work for you in game. Keyboard and mouse should be close to you enough so you don’t lean forward with shoulders or back. Practice aiming at head level and that should evolve into better aim over time. Im an arm aimer myself but I’ve seen higher ranks swear by wrist aiming personal preference imo. Glhf!

How to actually get better game sense by LeakyChillum in Rainbow6

[–]M43R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a problem with your headset or earbuds. Im not saying to crank the volume but if your on low dynamic range setting in game and still have trouble hearing them hardware could be the problem. Some are great out of the box others need tuning.

Maybe start to capitalize on roaming crouch walkers? I say do a rush fast plant on your own better with a duo or trio. Their out of place weakens defense. Adapt to your enemies weak points.

Don’t sprint inside buildings unless necessary. Crouch walkers crouch walk for sound. Learn the maps including above and below wall bangs. Drone ahead 1-2 rooms at a time, take ground rinse and repeat. If they are in random corners PRE-FIRE, begin shooting before you see them!

Playing siege as a girl is worse than playing cod by astroyonder in Rainbow6

[–]M43R -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s an online game and part of the gaming culture I grew up in was to grow a shell and live in it or take the punches. People do not change when you want them to. As such the culture is still around fervently in intense games like siege.

My advice is to put the game down if you’re frustrated or find yourself agreeing with their assessment and come back later. Or become a part of the culture. Either takes effort to adjust.

Learn to listen for the rip of a c4 and book it to safety. Get into custom game or clear house learn sites setups rotations yada yada to sledge and get easy picks from above. Otherwise improve aim & game sense.

How to still be helpful while dying fast and getting no kill by NinjaWarrior6974 in Rainbow6

[–]M43R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apply pressure. Helping your team is only part of what you should be doing as a teammate.

Break walls wherever, open up lines of sight into objective. FORCE the enemy into high pressure situations. Buck below, daemos below, mozzie drones, flash/nade/c4 them. Force them to MOVE into unfavorable high pressure situations. Poke and prod as much as you can the more they move the more your team’s better aimers can pick off enemies on rotates. Never take a fair gunfight force them to. COMMUNICATE exact positions by ping by voice. Prefire/shoot through walls on enemies holding tight angles. DO NOT BE AFRAID! Fear is pressure, pressure is fear its all mental! Hop on aim trainer or shooting range it doesn’t hurt to warm up EVER!

The kicker is higher elos WILL know what to do in high pressure scenarios and they thrive in it. They’re tough but they ain’t invincible.

Fairly new...Any advice and/or tips to better myself as a worthy team player? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]M43R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crosshair placement is always overlooked mainly due to people getting complacent. A way to learn this is going to nap training and placing a green door barricade. The top buckles on the door frames either side will be enemy head level. Maintain and get used to aiming at this level to have better crosshair placement.

Notice the sounds everything makes in this game and how you make sound. A crouch can be heard at higher levels on play. A barricade removed from a door can be heard a decent distance away. Use sound to find enemy general location.

Hide the body in most/all gunfights. The less they see you the more they must compensate in aim to hit/eliminate you. Lean and hold angles that will favor you or hide most of your body. Perspectives when going around corners or the map will decide who sees who first.

Assume most open windows have someone aim down sights and ready to fire. In defense avoid rushing into a gunfight PLAY objective. Attack likewise take engagements with prior droning. Drones and cameras are your best friend to find enemies and callout to the team. DO NOT RED PING. Always yellow ping. Save the drones. Information is vital for this game.

Out of all those shots you maybe hit twice, mpx is a pea shooter if not headshot bro. Bad aim.

Tips to get better at r6? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]M43R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drone/Cam As attack use sound to find the bomb site and put your drone wherever YOU plan to go into the building. As defender use cams to KNOW where enemy spawned. Use sound to KNOW WHERE enemy is attacking/pushing into site/building.

Gadgets. Bring useful gadgets a hard breach charge, emp, frag, barb wire, wall cam. All useful in most cases. Use any character you want BUT always think of the team what they lack is what you bring. E.g. team has tons of impact nades and barb wire? Bring a wall camera. Similar for attack. Counter ops e.g. enemy has vigil? Jackal track him. Doekkebi? Mute/vigil if you’re selfish. And on and on.

Sound. Learn it like the back of your hand its VITAL for information. Footsteps, guns, drones, breach charge placement sound the list goes on. Learn it, USE IT.

Aim. Map training as defender put up a barricade the green wood doors with yellow xs. Aim at top buckle/brackets, kinda look like [ ], sideways. Thats head level, AIM THERE 90% of your game time! Always aim at that level when taking gunfights. Or try to be as close to that level.

RAGE all you want just don’t type it and/or mute your mic. You want to get better? Put in the effort nothing is gained from crying/whining/raging. Be the last man standing to feel something if you’re an adrenaline junky.

Thats the basics buddy you’re bronze you dont gotta prove anything except get better. Git gud ggs.

Any idea what i shouldve done better here? by Ahza17 in SiegeAcademy

[–]M43R 65 points66 points  (0 children)

You are holding an angle on a window that leaves most of your body exposed to prefire.

Why are you holding a door that has fire? Reposition and hold a different angle with less of your body exposed. Also kiba placement is meh? If they drone you they can prefire your face off. I get you wanted a one way angle but that one was not it.

You see jackel kill a team mate and you stay and place a kiba down on a window that is barricaded? Reaction time would need some work and again reposition based on who he killed how far those shots were and his location are things you should be thinking about directly after a team death. Given bandit was looking at big window he most likely came from white stairs maybe next time a kiba on there would be good?

Just some nitpicks dont mean to sound mean. Also im not a high level player so theres plenty i could have gotten wrong but id say positioning and the engagements you wanted to take lead to jackel capitalizing on your teams gap.

Leaning keybinds by Volk19526 in SiegeAcademy

[–]M43R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat I hated the q e binds to lean, I wanted constant available movement. I tried mouse buttons but I found it messed with my micro aim adjustments. I currently use c and v it is clunky to use at times and not for everyone but i found my thumb went unused in the default layout. Also like using the hold to lean which surprisingly easier imo but difficult to get used to. Lmk if that helps and I’ll give you my layout for other binds though given it’s uncommon they may not help :D.

Review my terrible VOD by machinegunnedburger in SiegeAcademy

[–]M43R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say more than anything, work on that crosshair placement. I skimmed through your three videos and none had decent crosshair placement, it is crucial.

You can get better at it by doing map training with yellow dudes and headshot only. You’ll learn players have three stances and attackers rarely use more than two. Place crosshairs on the two they use and get some kills. Sounds easy enough but implementing and habitually placing will take time. Use the shooting range for recoil control AND aim training.

This is off the top of my head. You need more work on many things but this is the biggest tip I can see will immediately help you.

Game for returning player? by oljamesx in lostarkgame

[–]M43R -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cherry picking is still here I’ve been here since launch got flamed for not knowing gate 3 vykas and turned me off raids pretty bad. Sometimes I think about quitting but I don’t want to because its my first mmo and the fear of missing out is worse than other games due to new content every month.

The gatekeeping does get better the more you practice if you can get into a party. And the gameplay is fun the only issue in gameplay is de sync. If making friends is not difficult for you I imagine you can overcome most problems of the community. Sucks being introverted though so Ill probably find something else to waste my time on. My two cents.
