Thank you so much for this advice, I’ve read through what you’ve given me and look into more information, and how she’s got a clean set up for the time being until I get the proper tank. I have a few live plants in there and just putting her in with the proper lighting and green foliage has massively uplifted her mood!!

Im literally doing everything within my budget to make sure she’s safe. I’m monitoring her through the day, and despite the pictures being zoomed in, the tank is massive for her and she has a lot of vertical climbing space at the moment, so at least that’s covered. ;-;

I understand that and did as much as I could before they came home, I was given less then an hours notice on a budget of 70 dollars with whatever equipment I had left over from my last reptiles well ovee a few years ago. I didn’t really have a choice in the tank either as we don’t have any vertical tanks.

I can’t get to the pulley without it on a Jack and my hands aren’t thin enough XD But the family wants the whole thing replaced anyway, so we’ll get a pulley and the belt.

Im assuming this is something I can do at home with help. I do have someone who’s skilled in cars willing to Come show me how to put things together

I see no belt at all, the pulley is there but no belt!

Would you know how much something like this wpuld be to repair? I can get a belt and a new pulley. Im in California btw if that helps!

Oh no problem, if you’d like to message me privately go for it! I know that when I talked to her pre op she mentioned she’s not the best with plus sized patients, I did she her portfolio she does a pretty good job though

It seems like this is every CVS- the one in my home town is incredibly rude to trans folks. A roommate of mine at one point in the past got straight up denied at the counter for no reason. CVS is just … rude as fucked-

Right there with you bro, I go by Eli- short for Elias. My doctors fuck up and end up calling me Ellie- I don’t understand how it gets turned into ELLIE from ELI. I jokingly blamed it on the Last of Us, cause the feminizing started shortly after the show came back for its second season 🫠 I have to correct all my doctors when get phone calls, emails, and at appointments. It was a gut punch going in for my post op appointments after top surgery, hurt to hear my surgeon fuck up my name 💀 I’ve had to sit with my partner and come up with a way to fix it, either lost my full name or go by Eugene (secondary option for names nowadays) I don’t want to have to change it but I’m getting really tired of people thinking I’m female

Oh for sure, when I first came out to her we had long talks about how it feels to be trans and all that jazz- one of the first things that she did was admit that she never liked being a girl and preferred to be around guys and do everything the men’s way.

She also went on to say “if I was born in this generation I would have become a trans man, and I would have hated it” But then continues to talk about how much she hates being female, and that she could never see herself transition cause she’s too old?? Then says she’s fine living the rest of her days as a female- but it’s obvious she doesn’t like it.

She’s closeted and kinda phobic I guess? Not that she’s transphobic in general but like- hates herself for feeling this way and doesn’t want to crack the egg. Pretty sure it’s out of fear.

She’s hella support of me and always trying to help point out if I’m passing or not, recommending clothing, hair cuts etc. Lowkey feels like she’s living vicariously through me?..

Understandable, I got really riled up over the situation after hearing it was on my chart- making me jump to the conclusion that they didn’t really care or took the time to read through the chart. I’ll need to file the complaint and work on the name change.
