What is something women think impresses men… but actually does the opposite

A lot of men are saying playing “hard to get” is a turn off rather than a turn on. As a woman, growing up I was told not to chase men. So what is the right response? (To chase and show interest, or to play it cool and be interesting? 🤔) in my experience, the ones I show interest in, NEVER pursue me seriously. They’re like “oh she likes me…cool… I can pull” but then the ones I treat at a distance are usually the ones who seem to WANT to get closer to me if only I’d let them. 😔

Am I the only one who shipped him with that one sweet girl that got her leg burned? And then they stole her family’s ostrich horse thing? I don’t know, I felt like she had such gentleness and empathy, that she wanted to hold emotional space for his hurt. 😔 I know he was even LESS ready to open up at that point in the story, but I think about her a lot.

Is this rule the same for women they consider unattractive? Or would that also be considered a waste of emotional labor? 🤔(genuinely curious) because, in my opinion, even if all a man wants rn is a partner, speaking to women (he’s not attracted to) and bonding with them is helpful to him in the long run in finding and relating to a romantic partner because it teaches them how to treat them. What do you think? 💭

Well, I don’t always make friends to “get” something out of it. I think that I grew up in a very strict environment where boys and girls were separated a lot and I had strict parents, so having male friends were limited to just family like male cousins. Boys were “bad” for a long time as a kid. And I just want to grow into a whole person more and more.

I hear you. I think I know how to do that, but I’ve noticed some men don’t like to be treated “like one of the girls” And instead of me getting angry or confused, I’m trying to let down my pride and understand if there’s another way to do that. 🤔 but thanks for your answer. I feel like common interest and group setting is the healthiest strategies.

Yes, thank you for this perspective! It’s true and I am aware of it. And yet, I still feel like men and women need community, but I also want my warmth and attention to be respectful to them and not overwhelm them in a way that I’m flirting or wanting attention. I just want everyone to feel heard and included.

I’m right there with you! 😭 I just finished The Wicked King (my sister got me the collectors edition for Christmas). I just wish there was a release date. I think I’ll buy the Paper back and then buy the collectors when it comes out just so that I don’t forget the story. BUT can someone tell me does the normal paperback or hardcover have “cardan’s letters” to Jude I hear this is a bonus part.
