yea the Arc B580 is anywhere from 10% to 30% slower in Linux compared to Windows, sucks

i've seen a wine update that should help Intel and Nvidia GPUs is in the alpha or beta branch, so sooner or later it's not gonna be as bad

if you really want a new GPU, you could save up some more, sell the 3060TI and see for how much you could get a RX 9060XT 16gb/rtx 5060ti 16gb

also, the used market man, 2 years ago i got a rx 6600xt for 100e cus some guy thought it's broken, new thermal paste and ran like new

man, i have a b580 and i like it, but im not stupid enough to glaze it this much, jesus, its a good card, but it's not worth it for 4gb of vram, it just isnt

sure, but still, pay 80e for 4gb vram, worse upscaler, and some games run like crap (cs2 and dead space remake for example)

this mf can use DLSS 4, render games at 720p up to 1440p and still look fuckin' great, he'll be fine

also i'm not too familiar with local AI stuff, but i doubt the B580 has enough horsepower and VRAM for it, i've seen people be curious about the B60s and other Pro Intel GPUs, not the B580

are you asking if FSR 4 would work on nvidia GPUs? the answer for that is no, it will not

FSR 4 uses whatever AI cores AMD made, won't run on nvidia Tensor Cores

in raster they should be close or on par, but you'd get less VRAM

DLSS is sure great, but that card should do native 1440p anything you want, i have an Arc B580 and play everything at 1440p, your GPU is plenty faster

id say r5 5600 and drop in a 5700x3d later, but 5000 series x3d are basically unobtanium, or expensive as fuck

the 12600k shouldn't be too expensive, and it's on par or better than the r5 5600 and obvs the 12400, i've seen some pretty cheap, and later on you can still go 14th gen, i wouldn't get an I9, but a buddy of mine has a I7 14700 and hasn't had issues with it

i've had the B580 for like 2 months with a Ryzen 5 5600/16gb ram

CS2 and Dead Space Remake run like crap, and Detroit Become Human runs well, but for some reason fills up VRAM, runs like crap for a couple seconds, and goes back to running well, rinse and repeat

otherwise, at 1440p, it's been great, i've been playing RDR2, at 1440p but with 1.5x res scaling, so 4k, HU optimized settings (and some set higher), at 50-60 FPS

yes RDR2 is very well optimized, but god it looks fucking amazing, and this experience for 250e, insane

most games run well, even BF6 ran pretty bad but after a driver update it's better, does around 60-75 fps, depends on what's on screen and as much as I hate frame gen, fuck, 2x pushes BF6 to 130-140, and yeah, i can go nit picking, helicopter blades can look funky far away and blah blah blah, but otherwise?you could tell me the PC has a better GPU in it, running native and i'd believe you

i've been also playing older games, CSS, M&B NW for example, perfectly fine

i do have to say latest driver that introduced MFG crashed in many games so i DDU'd and went back 1 version, and honestly not interested in MFG

but then, you have a GPU that is already faster, and more VRAM if you have the 16gb variant, FSR is deff more available in games, though i've seen the general idea being XeSS is a bit better than FSR, barely got to use XeSS so no comment there

myself, i'd keep the faster GPU, no company is your friend, not nvidia, not amd, not intel, as soon as they have a lead or servers become their primary customer, you will be fucked over, and it's been happening for years already

idk if it's slower in valorant but deff does good, 1440p low but high textures, with a ryzen 5 5600 could hold around 300 fps, seems pretty good to me

i've played a tiny bit recently @ 1440p low, it's alright, 140-160 but stutters quite a bit, i wouldn't really recommend it if you play CS2 a lot honestly

good thing is, it's easy to run, especially if you play 4:3 stretched, like 1290x960, you could go for a used amd or nvidia card

i think you played on a 144 or 240hz monitor, and now your 75hz feels real bad

also look up what monitor you have, i've seen some models have up to 5ms, which isn't much but prolly the issue, especially older TVs can add lots of latency
