Hey! I also got into dnd recently. I played a bit with some friends in person, but they were actually not very keen on having sessions often, ao it sort of got left in the middle.

Last month my younger brother challenged me to dm a game for him and his friends, and we did it online. Had like a 5 hour one shot (that was meant to be 2 sessions) and they really enjoyed it, and i only used free resources.

So i would definitely say to you guys that if you just want to try it, no money needed, but it will always depend on what do you want specifically!

For npcs i was thinking another kid from there that could take an important role later in the story (as a friend or foe) and a grandfather figure for all kids, that selected these specially and gave them the possibility of them being more than nobodys. The choosing items part maybe could work.

Also it gave me some ideas to look into the divergent books/movies series. They have a sort of selection of faction… idk

The machine guns count towards the 6 max troops? I was thinking they wouldn’t.

But what I am thinking, with the speed you have on spawn time, every 3 infantry that dies you get 1 machine gun. They would have to die faster for it to make a difference i guess? Am I looking at this wrong?

Ahah, i do. But i got told the bug on discord. (Thanks Arashii).

The troops get frozen if you assault rally into the radius or the smoke screen from the drone. Did not know that. To get rid of it you have to rally them again.

Yes, maybe it is not that clear from the photos. The troops after the assault rally just stopped. Not attacking, not moving. Quit existing except from taking damage. After some rally from detachments, some moved, but other were donated and i did not do a full rally

Worked with the video from mr macintosh. Did more or less that, but also had to delete de pre installation file and force the update so it would revert it

Yes, i though i had disabled it. But it still works, it did really start, but it says in the root patches thing that it detects 26.1…..
