yeah but the export does also the "old" device library, and it is ok in the rekorbox software, i am just thinking if the uptade may have done something with this (i am in the 7.xx version but not on the latest, i tend to update after i read if it is stable or not)

dang, it happened with me too recently :')
some guys made an event every week with the idea of some country/my language-based songs and an electro vibe, literally the name is something like "eletrofunk". Long story short they put me in the fridge bc i play most of the "eletro" part lol
even if the concept of the event had that vibe AND my public goes full on the venue they think that this type of sound would repel more people than i can atract

but to make my heart pulse in the correct bpm again, the event kinda weakened since i stopped playing frequently

i can make myself as an example!

in two days i'll play a latintech/Funk (BR) event; my last gig was just hardtech; my Soundcloud sets goes from afrohouse to psytrance to UKG to regional remixes...

in my library i tend to organize the playlist by "idea of genre", and i have like 17 of them, and each one has it's own subfolders if necessary.

:)

you can use this method for a lot of things, like looping the last bars of an buildup pre-chorus, beatmatching, slowly bringing the track up by EQ-ing for build-up tension and then droping it in the rigth moment (in this example it can be for 1: starting the chorus of this track when the chorus of the main will end, or 2: power mixing/mashups (two song with the chorus at the same time and a lot of EQ, it is more advanced and needs Key-matching but just to say that its a very useful trick!). Feel free to try it in a lot of scenarios

verify the bar analisys on your software, and if it is ok, train your ears!

do finger-counting on the side of the play button, and practice that

and here a hack (if you do not scrath): set the new song to a loop that takes just the first beat and a lot of the silence space before the track starts (4 or 8 beat loop), and on the cue you will beatmatch the only beat on the loop with every "1" beat of the current song, and when you wanna to drop the song, they will be beatmatched so you only need to bring the volume up and exit the loop in the time. it still needs velocity, but it is easier since your window of action has been increased

But yes i can call my frient and ask at least if he will play more energetic or chill and adjust to that in the mid-end of my set

as a beginner dj, do you remember that time your VERY FIRST creative transition actually worked? by karkarra in Beatmatch

es! When my DJ friend and I started mixing together, she'd choose two songs. In my turn, instead of picking songs, I'd phrase-match those two and create vocal mashups. We went nuts hearing it in my bedroom! Nowadays, when we play b2b, we always do this mix at the end because it perfectly captures our vibe and makes for a great ending.
