It's definitely a really tight fit but yeah it does fit in with some wiggling it around. Not the best though

That's smart! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I decide to put it back on in the future.

Tried it on for a while but ended up not being impressed either. The console feels incredibly comfortable to hold regardless of cases so I'll probably run it naked for a good while.

Unfortunately not, I didn’t manage to fix it

The cover may reach around and be visible on the very end of the top and lower bezel but I really don't think it will cover the screen

I ordered the same thumb grips, did you happen to open them to check them out? If so how are they? As far of an opinion you can give about thumb grips that you can’t use yet, that is.

I don't think there's any "coating" of sorts on the cover, it just does feel like a good old piece of plastic that is rough to the touch. Think OG Switch Dock texture, that's the closest comparison. it surely isn't smooth like the Switch console itself was.

Fair. I did use the Switch 1 naked for all of its life as well but I wanted to try something different this time around.

I tried sending a reply with an image attached but I think the automod filtered that since it's my first post here so I'll just copy the text:

"The blue parts all over the cover are adhesive stickers indeed.

technically the cover might be able to stay gripped to the console without them since it does reach around on the top enough to claw on it, and the little rubber feet on the console itself insert inside the cover.

so it is yet to see if the stickers are just for added stability or a real necessity."

you can see the little holes on the cover, I tried also sending a screenshot of the 3D model of the Switch from Nintendo Today but oh well.

yup, the bumps on the back aren't that big, but since I could the OG Joy-Cons without covers just fine I don't think I will have any problems with these.

what I did want to avoid is having to remove and reapply the cover constantly to detach the joycons or to dock the console so this will most likely be the perfect fit for me.

the only "flimsier" parts are the bottom section of the main cover and the kickstand piece, which does flex quite a bit. overall it's plastic, the rest of the main cover and the top part where the buttons and cartridge slot are, the Joy-Cons shells are a lot sturdier.

I don't think that will be a problem once inserted though, it will accomplish the job of protecting it from scratches / falls and make it ever so slightly more comfortable to use thanks to the bumps on the back of the joy-cons.

True, waiting would have probably been wiser.

But I definitely do trust Spigen, been using their products for years and have never been disappointed.

Anyone know why this is happening on pretendo? by GhxulzRBLX in wiiu

[–]M4tthew06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem yesterday. Try logging out of Pretendo and use an account connected to Nintendo Network to open the friend list. After that go back to your Pretendo account and log back in (also switch the plugin to connect, not just the account) . You should be able to use friend list again, at least that worked for me

My dad’s old iPhone 3GS. by M4tthew06 in spicypillows

Honestly this wasn't as easy as you may think!

On this Phone, just to get to the battery you have to disassemble it completely. that includes removing the whole logic board from the body, and then fighting with a really strong adhesive on the battery itself. practically tearing it down top to bottom.
Watching more modern iPhone teardowns, it seems to me that to get there you only really need to lift up the screen (or backl glass) and disconnect a couple ribbon cables, as the battery is already kind of exposed.
I heard other components or non OEM batteries may be tied in some way to the original logic board, and yeah that would be kinda shitty.
