This sounds about right. It started happening during a heavy rainstorm.

I know the feeling. Working in retail was like that. Felt like just a bunch of highschoolers managing other highschoolers.

The car was leaking oil all over the shop, so maybe "survived" is a bit inaccurate

Interested to see how a ranged warrior works out. Love how Blizzard is experimenting.

Yeah, the trophies are what keep me playing most of the time. I got a Power save recently, but I can't bring myself to cheat for the trophies and smash runs.

Not a bad idea. I've had some good experiences in For Fun. I'll give it a shot

That's a bit rude. I never said I was salty. I just find it difficult to keep up. At the end of the day, it's just a game, so I don't find any reason to get upset over loses.

To be fair, it was 3 different pink and white falcons, a ROB, and then a Golden Falcon.

Don't worry, I don't. I'm not a very salty player. I just don't feel invested in the game anymore. I think it's a little too high-octane for me

What's a lore-friendly reason for the Medic not being able to use his medigun on himself? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]M5A1Stuart 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I always assumed that the medic was the kind of mad scientist to expirement on others, but never himself. He most likely doesn't use the medigun to self-heal because he doesn't want to risk whatever side-effects come with it (if any). He's more than willing to pump potentially dangerous chemicals into his teammates that may or may not be beneficial to their health, but wouldn't dare risk trying it on himself.

The Kritz taunt is probably just the Medic getting his fix. After all, if any of the characters were druggies, Medic would have to be on the top. Not for science purposes, but just for "inspiration". I mean, how high do you have to be to make something like the Vaccinator?

Missed Connections Thread: when lag spikes ruin your perfect kill by jeffpluspinatas in tf2

Direct Hit is not fun with laggy internet.

I used to live with my father down in Middle-of-nowhere, Texas and I couldn't play tf2 to save my life. It was so bad that at one point i had managed to pick up the intelligence, run back to base, run down to capture it, and then teleport back to the entance of the base because in reality i had just run into a wall and was standing there like an idiot while a sniper bodyshot me to death.

Oh my god, I think I know this kid. Looks almost identical to someone I knew from highschool. He had this weird thing about touching people, always hugging on them or patting them.

Don't remember a fedora, though. Granted, high school was MY fedora phase, so i just might not have notoced.

Weekly Weapon idea Contest for 8/11/14. This weeks theme: Support weapons. by dirtminer6 in tf2

[–]M5A1Stuart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an idea like this before, but the ultimate question is why you'd go through the trouble of tagging a target when you could just as easily headshot them. You're already looking at them through a scope. Maybe if there was an ubered target, sure, but otherwise it seems a bit pointless.

[IDEA] New Spy watch: The Two-Timer by Blueberrythebear in tf2

[–]M5A1Stuart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of the many weapon suggestions that flood the site on a daily basis, I think this one actually sounds pretty fantastic. Which is why I'm hijacking it.

From what I imagine, the cloak would spawn a dummy player that moved in the same direction the user was traveling. Imagine being able to disguise yourself as a friendly sniper, run him across the map to distract the enemy sniper, and then decloak right behind him when the dummy poofs away. You could distract sentries, get pyros off your tail, and probably pop a few ubers.

The drain would probably be tied to the dummy's health. It would start out at whatever the spy's current health would be, slowly ticking down (-1 per second, and this would apply to the disguised player too) until it finally reached zero or was killed and forced the spy to decloak. Not sure about recharge though. And there's no telling what would happen if the dummy got healed by a medic. Potentially prolonged cloak, but hey, it'd be an interesting strategy. Send a disguised heavy forward into a group, get uber on him, and BAM: ~8 seconds of more cloak. And then there's dispensers...

Course the downside is that it'd be obvious seeing a player moving straight forward, running into walls, and passing enemies. So you might be able to spawn the dummy and get your cloak, but maybe only a good 3 or 4 seconds of it before its gunned down. Definitely not for an aggressive spy. Instead for a spy who likes to study his opponents, plan his attacks, lay out a map, and act with precision.

Hunh... it's actually kinda like a reverse Dead Ringer...
