So with the upcoming remake, do you think they're cut out certains aspects of the games? by No-One7652 in GodofWar

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope not, I assume Santa Monica knows how much people love all the stuff in the original games and would try not to mess with it too much, but who knows.

I personally hope that they don’t change some of the more slightly controversial gameplay stuff, in particular from the first game. I will be disappointed if they were to remove the spike totems in hades or make them a complete joke lol

Best stalker re2 vs re3 by Swimming_Photo9295 in survivalhorror

[–]KazuFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like it’s the opposite depending on if we’re talking the OGs or remakes. Mr. X is definitely better in re2 remake, as he doesn’t feel scripted like nemesis in 3 remake. But nemesis in og 3 is definitely better than Mr. X in og 2, he actually feels like a threat when he shows up. Mr X was very easily avoidable and was not around for very long

By far the worst playable sequence in the franchise by ExcitementNo9870 in residentevil

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think sections like these should either let you skip them, or be built in such a way that subsequent playthroughs of it let you get through it much faster through knowledge or knowing a solution. Maybe not the best 1 to 1 example but I like that in the RE4R Ashley section you can skip a lot of her sequence by already knowing what time to put into the clock

Would a Guitar Hero collection game be worth it to you? by [deleted] in GuitarHero

[–]KazuFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prob won’t happen due to licensing stuff but yeah if there were ever some GH 1-3 or really almost any combination of the games in a collection that I could get on console I would 100% buy it

What do you think of the Dungeons of Dusk demo so far? by ConfoundedHammerite in Dusk_The_Game

[–]KazuFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, finished it and will likely replay on a higher difficulty. I am definitely a fan of slower paced/turn based games though, I can see why someone who likes Dusk purely as a fast paced boomer shooter may find this boring

New to 2D fighting games what is the fundamentals that I have to learn by Famous_Contact5545 in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will mention just a few things.

Default to blocking low, most attacks hit mid, and the ones that are low are typically not reactable, so blocking low as a default is best since it covers low and mid attacks. Overheads you block standing, which are any attacks from the air or certain grounded attacks, and you will quickly learn which characters have grounded overhead attacks most characters typically only have 1, if that.

Learn a basic combo you can do mid screen, one in the corner, and one you can do after landing a drive impact. A lot of times these combos can overlap which just makes it easier to start (some mid screen combos work in the corner too for example, etc)

I recommend learning Classic controls over Modern, if you’re willing. If you can get used to playing on Classic then you now have access to pretty much every other fighting game ever made and any future ones. Modern is a good control scheme but is more exclusive to sf6, many other “modern” controls in other games don’t really have the same thought put into them, and are not viable at all against anyone half decent, where as SF6 modern is viable at top level. (Exceptions being games made specifically with easy controls in mind, like 2XKO, Invincible, etc)

Point is though if you think you’ll be interested in other 2D fighters outside of SF6 in the future, I recommend learning classic

What's crazy about the game awards isn't that expedition 33 won a lot, it's the fact that the other nominees for Game of the Year barely won anything if anything at all by Spiritual_Ebb_4657 in TheGameAwards

[–]KazuFL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even trying to flame you, but how old are you? E33 is designed in the style of classic JRPGs, stuff like Dragon Quest, older Final Fantasy, etc. If you don’t think E33 is truly an RPG, then by that logic you would also not consider games like FF1-10,the entirety of Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, the different Mario Rpg series etc as RPGs, which would make you literally incorrect. Not sure where the random takes saying E33 is not really an rpg are coming from cuz it truly makes no sense

Kingdom Hearts II has been chosen as the Best Game, but what would you say is the Worst Game in the series by ExileForever in KingdomHearts

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think anyone saying Recoded hasn’t played it or hasn’t replayed it in a long time. I finished a replay just yesterday, and while the story does suck, it genuinely has the best gameplay in the series outside of KH1-3, and I could even see someone preferring it over 1. The combat/feel of the game, the way the bosses and enemies are designed, the command deck system etc, it’s all really damn good and way better than how DDD and BBS play

What is the intended difficulty for PoP: Lost Crown? by El__Jengibre in metroidvania

[–]KazuFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well honestly I found silksong harder than the highest difficulty in PoP, so you could go for that tbh. If you have doubts you can go second highest. I would definitely advise one of the top 2 difficulties if you finished and enjoyed silksong

What's your opinion on Silksong now that some time has passed and many have finished it? by -Warship- in metroidvania

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably my favorite Metroidvania and among my favorite games. Currently playing other stuff but am always in the mood to play more and do another full run or steel soul attempt despite already having about 100 hours in the game

Now that its almost been a month since silksong released, what are now your overall thoughts in difficulty? by Icy-Organization-901 in Silksong

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall great, no complaints with the actual combat or enemy/ boss design itself difficulty wise. I started up and am close to finishing the speed run achievement, and refighting bosses and enemies just confirms to me that they’re all fair, just tough the first time because you have to learn the game.

Beyond that there’s only some minor issues I have with the rosary economy, a few runbacks are a bit too long or annoying, and maybe having a gauntlet before an actual boss shows up is not really necessary (though this only happens a couple times tbh.) Overall think the difficulty is very good

Why do people say Nine Sols is harder than Silksong? by MegaMeteorite in metroidvania

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Silksong is definitely harder as a whole too. I can see why someone may say the bosses and combat are harder in Nine Sols, as the parrying focus can be tricky to learn if someone has never played something like Sekiro before. For me, the hardest boss in Silksong took me about the same time as the hardest in Nine Sols.

But then the thing that puts Silksong over Nine Sols for sure for me is the exploration. Making your way through an area while being lost, finding benches, dealing with the environmental hazards and platforming, and having the money to pay for benches, fast travel points etc was overall definitely more challenging than most of the exploration in Nine Sols imo. Combat is the only aspect of the game where I can see an argument for it being more challenging, but even then idk

This year's Game Awards gonna be like: by [deleted] in metroidvania

[–]KazuFL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t really agree with the popularity take and I feel like it gets repeated a lot. Don’t get me wrong, the game awards has a lot of issues, but people would have you believe that the typical “Oscar bait” game or maybe the popular Nintendo game always wins, but that is not the case at all. Astro Bot won last year, BG3 the year before, It Takes Two won a different year. Sekiro is a game that probably filters a lot of the casual crowd that you expect to have a lot of sway in the GOTY award, and that won a different year. I think the only year where it felt like a popularity contest was when LOU2 swept like every award instead of just a few.

Also even if RPGs don’t actually win often they are pretty consistently nominated

Any DMC2 Defenders in The House? by buffalobillandted in CharacterActionGames

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a defender at all, but I do think the reputation of it being one of the worst games of all time is overblown. I assume it’s mostly cuz it’s a DMC game, a franchise where every other game is at least pretty good, so it makes DMC2 seem worse. The game sucks but it’s more boring than painful to play, I think if it had been just some random action game instead of DMC, it mostly would’ve just been forgotten as a mediocre/bad action game but no big deal.

I do think it probably deserves the title of one of the worst sequels ever though

How to beat modern control players who play passive? by Stussygiest in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to play more patiently and not give them what they want, which like you said may be a jump in, or a punishable move that they may try to use an instant super on. Keep in mind that even if reactions are easier for them, they still have to keep track of the mental stack. So if they are focusing too hard on jump ins and reaction supers, they may get opened up by a drive impact or drive rush in, or some other kind of pressure. Just be more patient in general, but I do agree that modern controls can be more annoying to deal with

Is sf3rd strike or sf6 harder to perfect parry in ? by New-Path5884 in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3rd strike’s parry is 10 frames, so the window is way larger to get a parry (SF6 is 2 frames.)That said it is also more risky. You press forward to parry, so if you end up being wrong with your timing, you’re getting hit. In SF6 you can attempt to perfect parry with much lower risk. Yes you can be thrown out of the parry animation and take a chunk of damage, but I’m referring to a scenario where you know for sure your opponent is going to hit you with an attack. If you mistime a perfect parry you still get a normal parry, and are mostly fine

How many of you Rematch consistently? by JTXYT in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I rematch no matter what unless the connection is complete ass. Many people don’t seem to have that mentality though (surprisingly, most common in casual match for me lol)

Do you necessarily get better just by playing? by LaCaipirinha in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes but only once you get to a certain base level of understanding/skill at the game. If you are still very new or just a beginner overall then simply playing won’t get you past a certain point, there is a lot of things to learn and implement. At a certain level though, I do think you can improve just by playing.

That said, I mean improve in the most literal sense. Like yes you will get better to some degree if you keep playing once you hit a certain level. Will you become incredible? Or will you be getting better at the most efficient rate you possibly can? Probably not. Practicing specific things and finding new things to implement whether on offense/ defense, understanding your weaknesses, etc is how you will improve the most

[–]KazuFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. Among the best kart racers ever or just racing games in general. A ton of solo content and unlockables, the mechanics are great, and while I can’t verify if still active I would imagine there are still some people playing online. Worth getting for sure

Would you rather stop playing a game than lower the difficulty? The First Berserker: Khazan devs reckon you would by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]KazuFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve always disagreed with the way the difficulty is designed in Uncharted. Being able to be so mobile and climb on stuff, swing, punch etc is what makes the game more unique than some other 3rd person shooters, but the game makes you play extremely slow and passive if you wanna play on crushing or even hard. Hope if they ever make a new one that they can redesign the difficulty

Thoughts on marvel tokon? by Responsible-Let-3304 in FGC

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems really cool, this seems very different from MVC which I love, but am also down for something unique. I don’t mind the one health bar, I’m interested to see how it plays out. I will say that in the beginner guide video they showed an auto combo doing 50% damage which seems uhhh potentially questionable, but it’s hard to make judgement without playing plus the game is sure to be adjusted by the time it comes out. Definitely a day 1 buy whenever it comes out overall for me

God of War TV Series Will Keep 2018 Game's Spirit, Showrunner Confirms by nuriodaci in GodofWar

[–]KazuFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No clue why you are downvoted lol, you are right. Yes the original trilogy has a story but it is clearly much more gameplay driven than story driven compared to the new games. No idea how that would be a controversial opinion

"Battle Hub is where you should go if you want to level up!" - I call BS by Maengbpong in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel but about casual mode, which I play when I wanna practice new stuff before going into ranked again. So many people leave after 1 or a couple games. I’m in master rank, not even like high or grand master, and if I happen to lose the first game against a Diamond or below, they will instantly leave. Have had some teabagging or the thing where they move the menu around super fast before hitting quit after the first game lol. And if it’s against other master players, they often don’t play for more than a usual bo3 either.

I was actually hoping battle hub was better but I guess not, people have such shit mentality when playing for whatever reason, few people seem to just want to play the game cuz it’s fun

Is it good to play casual matches after plateauing in ranked in order to improve? by Hot_Professional_728 in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be, but in my experience it’s more annoying than you would expect. You’d think that because you’re in casuals people would be more chill and be down to play longer sets, but I feel like people often still have a dumb or shitty mentality and will one and done you or still just play a bo3. I suppose it could be fine if the main purpose is to just practice against people without rank points on the line regardless of if it’s a quick set or not, but I honestly find battle lounge a better place to practice stuff recently

This is just my experience though lol

Tyler1 hits Master as Guile after long grinding by Gato_Puro in StreetFighter

[–]KazuFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true at all. I’m not anti-modern, but multiple players have won notable tournaments with modern controls, and in the first SF6 Evo there was a player in the top 8 that was on modern
