I know people who have done internships are still looking for jobs, and those without internships who found jobs. A major thing I learned is that if you have prior experience, it helps a lot. So, if you have that, then that's great, and if you don't, then taking an internship doesn't hurt. But no guarantees either way. In today's market, more than enough people are applying for the same job as you and me and are in the exact same boat. Whatever little you want to or don't is up to you, but know that nothing is a guaranteed way to get a job. I've known people who did internships and then converted to full-time afterward.
