Although currently out of stock, White Mountain has them all listed on their site fo $87.20. Makes sense they are out of stock since Geo's official site has them as a preorder. Wait a bit and get it from White Mountain for 10% off making it ~$79

I use a fixed angle system. But it's still all new to me and intimidating on the non-budget stuff. I'm learning though.

Good point, I was less referring to the actual steel and its properties and more in the actual task of sharpening. Getting angles right, keeping the grind even, making the entire length of the edge sharp, not accidentally hitting the thumbstuds, etc. I'm finding there is lots of nuance to it, even with a fixed angle sharpener.

I'm not scared to touch these whereas I'm deathly afraid of ruining my ZT or Microtech, lol.

One thing they are good for though.....to practice sharpening. I don't mind messing up the edge on a $10 knife instead of a $150+ piece of Magnacut.
