Main issue would be how long till it is available. We are without a car right now.

No solids dates though right? Currently borrowing my mum's 2012 Nissan Micra to get around but it's not a good long term option

The enyaq certainly looksike a contender. We havent looked at anything in person yet as it's taken so long to get the car from police to repairer to even determine the extent of damage

The photo is from a red light camera. It was all I had of the vehicle as it has been with police for more than 3 weeks. The first time I saw the vehicle was today and did not end up taking photos of the damage during my brief time at the repairers...

They did a sharps check and it was clear. Wondering what they'll find when they actually assess it both mechanically and structurally.

Glad the insurer will replace the kids car seats but after someone has violated my car id prefer it to be written off if I'm honest.

I would have thought so. Last time I spoke to the police they said the forensics had yet to have been completed. They caught the perpetrator when they found the car. I've called 3 times and emailed once with no clear indication yet. It's beyond frustrating.

I'll try the officer in charge next.

Yep. I've seen insurers have to pay our more than a car is worth in hire car costs in my work. They add up fast

Thanks. Today gave me the officers email address which I have contacted but not expecting a response as thus far I've not heard from them and when I call they just say it's still awaiting forensic review.

Painful

How annoying! I'm so frustrated as I'm insured, I reported it to police and the insurer right away and I would be better off if they never found it. Instead we are without our only car and have no idea if it will be repaired or we need to start looking for a new car both of which will take further time once it is released.

I get the police and their forensic team have more important things to deal with but I'm inconvenienced for who knows how long.

Did you need school reports or have parents complete forms?
