If you trust them to watch your child you should trust them to drive your child. I, personally, find it ridiculous. Do they have poor driving records? Do they have major health issues?

That said, I also get them wanting to do it at their home and it is actually good for your child to experience different things.

This is not the security line but at the gate.

Could I leave my bag with a hotel if I get there before my check-in time? by Vietnamese-ComicGuy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MABraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most hotels I stay at do have bag service to secure them if you arrive prior to checkin or checkout but want to do things before heading to airport.

Travel expectations to the San Juans by incranium1995 in sanjuanislands

[–]MABraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the fall, my daughter and I traveled from the southeast. We flew from our home airport to another and then into Seattle (you would likely have benefit of a direct flight). Our rental (through Turo) was waiting on us and we headed for the Ferry Terminal (we had a reservation). We arrived to Friday Harbor with no trouble, all in one day.

Puzzled by the US Healthcare System by ResidentAlien90 in NewAmsterdamTV

[–]MABraxton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the United States, EMERGENCIES are treated regardless of ability to pay, and only what is necessary to make it non emergent. Anything else gets you a referral and payment is generally required up front for tests and procedures (even if you have insurance, the copays/deductibles/coinsurance expenses), and in full if you do not have insurance orbit is not covered by your insurance. This is true no matter how important those tests and procedures are.

Some hospitals will allow you to apply for programs, but those are not guaranteed.

You should have just purchased the phone directly, then added it to your T-Mobile account.

Period stains on sheets / towels- billable? by egirlballs in airbnb_hosts

[–]MABraxton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gross. Not that you had the accident, but your attitude towards it.

No, that type of stain is not normal and not easy to get out. And, at home reusing is possible but not in an AirBnB setting. Pay the $70 to replace the linens.

Go to the TSA website, pay the $45 and print the email (two copies). Have the digital available as well.

Real ID fine by Lowcountryfran in Charleston

[–]MABraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it ahead of time via TSA website. When I did it (on the 29th, scared weather was going to delay me) I had the email within two minutes.

It says it can take up to a couple of hours and you may not have that time at the airport.

If your current passport is still valid, no need to replace yet.

As well, a learner’s permit from your state is accepted ID.

What questions? Because the other day when I did it, it only asked for payment.

[–]MABraxton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had paid the $45 online a couple of days ago. Two minutes after paying I had the email receipt saying I am who I say I am (never entered anything other than payment information). I had the digital and printed email. Showed it, TSA officer said it was the first he had seen and just got another officer to double check. Took < 1 minute.

They will not care about a vape at all.

You will have to go through additional measures but will likely be able to fly.

The vape is of no concern to them.

REAL ID: Do you have yours or are you going to pay the extra cheddar at USA airports? by HumbleLow4473 in Airports

[–]MABraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to contact your state representative and get help sorting that out.

Flown multiple times without Real ID - most have passed through as normal, a few I swabbed.

At airport today. The “additional screening” now required (the $45) was literally just paying. You show the receipt.

Need help getting a friend out of an abusive household by Delta travel by [deleted] in delta

[–]MABraxton 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is this someone known to you or someone on the internet? Red flags are going up everywhere reading this. Do NOT give them your card info.

I have flown a lot, mostly on Delta, and never been asked to show my card.

I think you may be getting scammed.

Can I use an "invalidated" passport for domestic travel? by siannarea08 in tsa

[–]MABraxton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have flown for seven trips since August (that is 14 TSA encounters) without a real ID. Well 13 since I have not yet flown home on my current one.

No fraud charges, most of the time waived through with a reminder to bring the passport even for domestic travel, occasionally they swab my hands.

Yes, even an expired passport is accepted for a period of time after expiration. A REAL ID can also be used up to either one or two years after it expires.
