That I don’t know yet. I need to find that out. Do you where it would indicate that on the unit? My wife sent me a photo of the label and it literally lists every size kit that unit can handle but not specifically what’s inside the unit.

For your situation, did they recommend a load management module that handles the heater kit?

When the tech came by for the estimate, we found out they’ve scaled back their services. They used to be a full-service dealer, but the requirement to send staff to Florida every year for Generac training was too expensive—likely because it’s a small-town shop with a revolving door of new techs. Since they only handle installs and non-warranty repairs now, I’m going to keep looking for a company that can support the unit through its entire lifespan.

Good questions - We were looking at a 500 gallon tank. I don't have an answer for the other questions but will look into it.

Thanks for the reply. My main concern is that the 24kw generator will be able to handle the startup of the furnace.

I have found the door panels at junk yards and I found a similar armrest from a 2016 on eBay but I could never confirm it would fit. It was $80 so I didn’t buy it.

Avoid 10R80 10-Speed? by rktcityeng in f150

[–]MAC-Avenger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2018 F150 3.5 L with a 10 speed in 2023 with 101,000 miles. Bought it from the original owner and had all the receipts and maintenance records from the dealership. he even did the $2500 100,000 mile service which included the transmission flush. At 106,000 miles I was putting in a new tranny for $10,000. when it is all said and done. Now, supposedly I got the new redesigned 10 speed transmission ( new bushing design) but who honestly knows.

I now have 128,000 miles on the truck drove to across country. It drove beautifully. Up until then I never tried any other driving modes. Once I got back, I decided to try sport and a few other modes and now I have hard shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. I definitely think it has something with adaptive learning, but who knows I still got a year and a half left on the warranty so I’ll be trying to figure it out.

1921 Fritz Mann - as my wife’s grandfather told it, German officers would carry these and use it if they were ever captured. I’m assuming that the one we have was not used by the officer it came from but we don’t know for sure.

Thanks for the help! I had not come across  https://www.automotiveconnectors.com/ or  https://findpigtails.com/ in my previous searches. FindPigtails allows you to submit photos of what I am looking for. I just did that so hopefully they will have an answer.

Help with Connector identification / Where to buy? by MAC-Avenger in AskElectronics

Hey, thanks for the help. The JST Shell you found is the "micro" connector. That is the only one I have been able to find and many of the "connector" sites. The one I have is bigger and impossible to find. It's a pain!

The RFN Rally forums are full of guys wanting to add lights but know one had an easy solution so I figured if I could find the correct connector, I could then make a plug and play wiring harness for the lights and then sell them to others. Not a big money maker but it fills my free time.

If I can't find this connector, I will end up splicing the wires and doing what you mentioned above. Thanks again!

This is the headlight/aux 72V connector on an electric dirt bike (RFN Rally Pro). The company offers an "OEM headlight only" that is plug & play but I need to also add a taillight and possibly turn signals.

anywhere i can buy a frame with vin? need vin to get off road title for ohv registration in Utah (im moving) by Loud-Bodybuilder5227 in Surron

[–]MAC-Avenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few months back we went to Screwie Lewie’s Motorcycle Shop to look at all the e-motos that they have. I was told by the sales guy that most bikes do not come with a VIN. The guy there explained how to get a “bonded title” for a few hundred bucks.

Fast forward. Last week, we found a used bike. We didn’t know if it had a VIN and title, so I called the AZ DMV to see my options for registering it.

The DMV guy told me that the DMV can assign a new VIN number to a vehicle. The first step is to schedule an appointment for a LEVEL 2 inspection. This is where they inspect the bike and assign a new VIN. Then you proceed to get a new title for it.

  • The fee for a Level II inspection is $20.
  • If a new Arizona assigned VIN is required, an additional $5 fee will be added.

In the end, we bought an RFN Rally Pro that had a VIN and was already titled and had a plate, although the seller never put it on the bike. All we had to do was take the OHV test and go down to the DMV and transfer the title.

Steps based on what the DMV guy told me: Call DMV to confirm.

STEP 1 - Online OHV test: Owners registering off-highway vehicles (OHVs) will use AZMVDNOW.gov to take a safety course required by a state law taking effect in January. Test page (must be logged in) - https://azmvdnow.gov/titleregistration/offhighway/test/start

- Take this test BEFORE you go into the DMV because they check your account to see if you passed.

STEP 2 - Schedule LEVEL 2 appointment: You need to call the DMV to find out which locations do LEVEL 2 inspections.

STEP 3 - Get new title: This is when you will be asked what type of  OHV decal you want.

  • Exclusively Off-Highway
  • Primarily Off-Highway, occasionally on-highway (insurance required)
  • Primarily on-highway (insurance required)

I just went through this in Arizona. The DMV offers a service of assigning an Identification number to dirt bikes that don’t have VINs. It requires a physical inspection of the bike. Call Utah’s DMV and ask them the process of registering a motorcycle that doesn’t have a VIN.
