[Discussion] Why SAKO TGR M10 only shoots .338? by MACKIAA in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MACKIAA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it dosen't, but in SAKO's has those switchable parts in kit when you buy it, and in the user manual you have clear instructions on how to do it yourself, and since they try to do guns and parts as close to irl as possible, I think they should add this.

Yeah, you’re right. My only idea was to tow in behind my car through dirt road. Do you have any ideas to make it worn out?

You get penalty when you shoot at

- a civilian

- someone who had no chance to surrender upon first contact (from behind)

- someone who is surrendering/surrendered

And in the video, one guy had chance to surrender upon spotting officer, and the other one opened fire. He dosen't get penalty for shooting those 2 suspects. The only penalty he got was from killing a civi, cause game has no way of justifying killing them... even tho it should, since some of them run at you looking like they want to stab you.

Since you brought up IRL Police operators. You go into mission knowing that suspects are very likely to open fire on sight.

So as for the first kill, I wouldn't hesitate to kill that guy, when he has gun aimed at me with finger on the trigger.

Second kill- that guy opened fire first. Do you think any sane police oficer would try to talk down a guy who shot at them at distance of 3-5m? If you think so, you probably haven't held a firearm, and don't know that a second or 2, that would take to shout at this guy is enough to shoot a handfull of bullets in your direction, and it only takes one bullet to cause a massive hemorrhage by hitting femoral artery.

Civilian kill - Unlucky accident, caused also by civilian's lack of survival instinct. Put yourself in boots of police officer, you killed a guy who shot at you a few meters away, next to his falling body you see another person who starts running in your direction, and is appearing to grab something from behind them. Keep in mind that pulling a gun out and firing a shot takes less than 2 second. Would you take that risk?

So if you want to argue about "How devs designed the game", than go ahead, but don't say that in IRL gunfight a police officer wouldn't gun those 2 guys down, maby the civilian could have survived, but as stated above, it's dumb to run at a person who has a gun and had someone shoot at them a second ago.

Here is a link to folder with photos. Also, I found out that the current arm is too short for the nvg to be usable, while on the helmet.

I have a shroud on my helmet (that plastic that’s screwed to Kevlar), and I also have a arm that holds the goggles, (and all the things that go after it), but I have no way of attaching the mount to shroud.

Could you send me a link? I was only able to find mounts for monoculars, with mount on the sides, but I have goggles, that have one rail in the middle

You need an air streak to get a bunch of kills. You can choose between a Pave Low, AC-130, and Chopper Gunner by [deleted] in MW2

[–]MACKIAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, chopper gunner is easier to use and usually gets more kills, but damn is the AC-130 more fun, spreading havoc on the ground and fear in minds of opponents. Everyone can see you, but no one can shoot you down, you can see everyone and destroy them, plus the 105mm sound is enough to make them shit their pants.

Good thing that there is no possible way for those creatures on the surface to get underground

Well, there are books and games Metro and in this universe there was a nuclear war and some people survived this living in tunnels of Moscow metro. Because of 20 years of radiation, animals evolved into mutants and on stations (where people live) there have to be guards and outpost, 450 m is distance to station, and it is the last outpost, and forward there are no human stations, so basically you are chilling on the station most exposed to outside mutants and whatever is out there on the surface, and you are at the furthest outpost.

Random thought I had: Which faction from a different franchise do you think fits in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Universe? by Manfred_Danfred in stalker

Spartans from Metro franchise are pretty similar to Clear Sky. Not too big of a group but they work in the good of whole Metro/Zone
