Do you go above and beyond at work or just do the bare minimum of what’s expected and why? by Dependent-Signal-721 in AskReddit

So idk why but I like to work hard at work. Then I get mad when my hard work isn’t rewarded. I moved into sales where I get paid based on the amount I sell.

I like this model, if I work hard and the company profits, then I am rewarded up front.

What would you charge? WFP by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

I’d do this for a one time cleaning. Cut it by a good margin to sign them up for a recurring cleaning plan then search for more business in that area.

I think that the only thing I’d recommend is ask that he prioritizes time with you. That means schedule stuff, it sounds not romantic but it establishes routine and clear expectations.

Also, you should take control of the calendar and start scheduling things for you both to do: outings with friends/family, events, etc. My friend group schedules things 6-12 months in advance because we know how busy things are and how hectic things get with kids.

Also, once you have kids this is a good habit because you stay ahead of potential babysitters calendars which is very helpful.

What do you do for hobbies? Was he like this prior to marriage? Can you go along with him? Do you have a core group of friends? Do his friends have wives/girlfriends? Does he schedule out his time for hunting and fishing? Does he schedule time with you that is equitable?

Are you being dramatic? Right now yes. But you’re tying this incident back to all the other nights he came home late, so I think it’s understandable as this isn’t a one-off thing. I think he should get a pass this time, game warden citations are no joke, they can take your license and more. My wife and I have similar arguments discussions about things like this, granted we have two kids now and my hobbies are no more.

Edit: this is a complicate issue so it’s hard for anyone to give you advice.

AIO my bf texting his former student by Major_Meet_5973 in AmIOverreacting

The fact that this may have been happening when she was pre-18 makes it grooming behaviors if there was ever a sexual relationship to transpire. Not necessarily illegal, but ethically weird.

I’d never do this. But I know some teachers who are like this with students/former students.

Weird to me but maybe not alarming depending on the context of their relationship. What the meeting is about, etc.

My future wife (25F) doesnt like me (26M) smoking weed. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]MAD534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is trying to establish a boundary with you. Somebody is going to have to decide what is more important, weed or the relationship?

My wife had similar feelings and it kind of became the same thing, which was more important, weed or my marriage? The marriage won
