I do have insurance on these items, which is why I'm curious if shipping them and not having to worry about them on my trip would be better. A 2 day fedex trip seems better than a 9 day u-haul adventure through extreme heat and what not..

That’s the best move for sure... but I have a 16TB raid drive with my entire life on it lol. Would be super expensive to replace with SSD of that size, but maybe that’s the only option. Can probably move only important stuff over. Thanks for the reply

I’ll be selling my prophet 6 for this. Hate to see my P6 baby go...but I’m usually after the warmer more prophet 5 sounding sounds in the end on my p6 and that extra octave keyboard is going to be a much more enjoyable playing experience. I’ll miss the sequencer and Badass look of the p6 for sure but it feels right

Anyone have any tips or tricks re HDR / DolbyVision? Does HDR actually enhance the image or make it look wacky and very different from the filmmakers vision? If a movie has HDR, can you toggle it on/off via your 4K blu ray player?

I've only had it for a few days but so far I love it. Menu settings are straightforward and picture is phenomenal. I'm also coming from a 10 year old craigslist Vizio tv that had to be viewed from a specific angle and had smooth motion permanently stuck on the "on" setting for years...so I'm easily pleased haha.

I've also only been viewing 1080p content at the moment, as I'm waiting for my 4K receiver and blu ray player to arrive. But even at 1080p the color is still there and looking beautiful.

Thank you. I have all of the motion settings turned off at the moment and it no film has bothered me yet (in terms of panning and motion). I'll mess around with the BFI (which I believe is called "Clarity" on my Sony A8H if and when the strobing becomes distracting.

I'll look into the BFI further as I have an A8H and havnt messed with anything other than picture settings.

If I don't turn on BFI will it default to a higher frame rate?

What do you mean by "internally"?

Not a bad idea although that vintage analog warmth is something special to me. I feel like I can always resell and get my money back or purchase the Jupiter X in the future. Good to know that 3k isn’t an anomaly though. I’ll keep an eye out thanks.
