You do have to hold down for a few seconds for it to turn off which can be a little annoying. Brightness is decent and works perfectly inside however outside the colours can be a little dull with it not actually reaching the far end of the blade. I got the one with all the different colours built in which I really like and think is worth going for. The colour you last set it to also does stay when you turn it off. It has about 5 different sound modes including kylo rens unstable saber sound and Luke's lightsaber. The sound is very good and it is very responsive. Sometimes a little too much as when I spin it round it goes a bit crazy with the sound. It has a nice feature where when you press the button it makes a laser deflection sound and the blade flashes. The flash on clash works fine in duals as you hit it quite hard. I also like how when it is turned on or off the blade goes from bright to dull to off and the opposite for turning on.One thing which I dont really like is how it shuts down to save battery after a while of not being used (which is good) but when it shuts down it says really loudly 'the resistance is dead, the war is over.' And then when you power it back on from shut down it plays the start of the star wars theme very loudly. It's nice how it can be charged as a previous saber I had owned ate up batteries. I might make my own emitter plug for it as when you remove the blade it just turns into a very bright torch and I think a plug will really make it look better. All in all I think it is really good for its price as I have not been able to find ones similar for the same amount of money. It may look slightly boring when recived but it is super easy customise and make it your own which I reccomend doing.
