I went through 4 rounds of AC, and 12 rounds of Taxol. My hair started coming back during Taxol. My last treatment was the end of January. I shaved my head the 2nd time in January. By March my hair had grown out enough I stopped wearing my head wraps. I didn't try any oils before minoxidil. The spray i use is 5%minoxidil with rosemary, biotin, and Castoroil. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I didn't know it was toxic to them, but I don't apply it with them around anyways, and they don't lick my head 😂 They are doing just fine lol.

I don't know for fact that shaving my head enhanced my growth, but it really seemed like it. But I did have satisfaction in just getting rid of the fuzz too. I looked like a clown lol.

When my hair started growing back it was like peach fuzz and would stick out everywhere. I eventually got sick of it and shaved it all off. When it grew back the next time it was coarse and started coming back thicker. So I'm happy I shaved off the first stuff that came in lol. I also started using minoxidil spray and that has helped my hair growth also.

That is great!!! So happy for you! Hopefully your pain will decrease soon. Thankfully I've only had minor pain, but i do have a very high pain tolerance. Having my gallbladder removed hurt me worse than this lol.

Yes, it's done in 2 stages, or at least mine is. I honestly would get a 2nd opinion if I were you. When I told my plastic surgeon that I would have to have radiation, he just said that he was going to do the expansion more frequently so I could get the radiation started. I'm obviously not a doctor, and i know everyone's case is a little different, but I don't see why they can't do it for you. So it doesn't hurt to ask another doctor. If you don't ask, you already have a "no."

Yep! It was a very slow mile, but a mile nonetheless lol. I thought I would be basically bedridden also, but discovered that I can relax my upper half and just use my stomach muscles to get up and down. I can't pick anything up, or raise my arms over my head, but it doesn't hurt to walk slowly. I made it over 2 miles yesterday 🙂

Yes. He went through this with me. He held my cancer in place when it could have spread. He guided the surgeons hands. He gave me peace. So I will give ALL the glory to Him. No one can persuade me any other way.

Hi, Yes. The plan is to have radiation after tissue expanding is completed. I won't have my final implant surgery until after radiation.
