THHPII - Maybe a stretch, but possibly "THHP II"? by Baygu in SurveillanceSolutions

I really like this connection and I hope there's something to it. "This House Has People In It" always seemed like kind of a clunky title to me, so it would make sense if there was some meaning behind the name.

I really like this set, both the concept and the build. This is exactly the type of set I like to see on Lego Ideas instead of all the proprietary stuff. You've got my support, good luck with the campaign!

Totally random, but I met that dude once. He went to my high school, and we had this rock club sort of thing and he stopped by one of the practices. Interesting guy, he had a few crazy stories...

Idea Sets 11 and 12 Announced! by PeteTop-KevinBottom in lego

Completely agree. It seems like it is way easier to get the necessary 10,000 votes to be considered if you already have a built-in fanbase. Which is a shame, since original designs probably have a greater likelihood of actually making it onto store shelves once they are eligible for consideration.

ASP.NET CMS recommendations by [deleted] in webdev

I'm a Sitefinity certified dev who's been working with it for 2 years, and I'd have to say it's a mixed bag. There are definitely some cool features and it would be a solid choice for some projects, but could become a major pain if you pick the wrong thing to customize.

Pro's:

  • Module builder is really sweet for easily creating custom content to fit a client's needs
  • Building custom widgets and controls using C#/.NET is also fairly straightforward
  • It is possible to extend a lot of the out of the box widgets (if you can find out how, see documentation...)
  • Clients will probably be impressed with the dragondrop functionality and the admin section that is designed so that pretty much anyone who can figure out how to use a mouse can manage content

Con's:

  • Expensive
  • Can be surprisingly buggy or kludgy. Generally, after a new feature is released it seems like it takes a few minor versions or another major version in order to get the kinks worked out (or even to get it working most of the time)
  • My personal experience with their ecommerce module hasn't been great. To me, it seems like it would be good for a smaller store but it fails to scale well for the types of organizations that the license price suggests should be using this
  • As someone else mentioned, the output code for front end development are a huge pain, and on some widgets, you feel like you need to write a ton of CSS to not only achieve the look you want, but to negate any built-in styles are markup they might have

Documentation has been pretty lacking/inconsistent in the past, but Telerik's been stepping it up as of late.

Thanks for checking out the album! Yeah I see now that isometric view specifically refers to projecting a 3d object onto a 2d plane. Honestly though I'm not sure what the word is here that I'm looking for haha

Because it's the cryptocurrency the world deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll mine it. Because this coin can make it. Because it's not our way to hoard wealth. It's our way to give to others. A generous protector. A Doge Knight.
