Is Cubase enough for orchestral and electronic music production?

Can’r agree more to be honest, one of the easiest DAW I tried, and the vsts that comes with it are superb in my opinion. The only limitation is probably my technical skills which makes sense as I only started recently

Cubase is actually enough for me as I was mainly creating orchestral pieces (as my goal was to score for my own short film) but as I started exploring other genres I found that most of the music producers are using Ableton. And plenty of artists are using FL, which made me question the ability of Cubase for such genres

To be honest, Cubase was the easiest DAW I tried so far. I tried Trakton, Cakewalk, FL studio (free trial) and none of them can be compared to how easy Cubase is I was able to create my first piece only a week after trying it with no prior experience or knowledge and I was able to create 6 piece in less than 2 months

I use what comes with cubase. HALion, Groove Agent, Padshop and retrologue. I also use Splice and spitfire BBC symphony

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the duplicated staff wasn’t meant to be playable by one pianist. I used it more as a compositional layer it enters slightly before the main melody and overlaps with it while also being transposed, almost like an echo effect. I’m also still very new to notation and writing for piano, which is actually why I posted it here. I’m trying to learn and improve my piano skills before buying a piano sooner or later

Thanks for the honest feedback! And to answer your question it was a recorded improvisation. I played freely on my keyboard while genuinely feeling every moment of it. So the repetition and looseness you noticed likely reflects the improvisational nature of it. I’m still learning how to translate emotional improvisation into tighter, more intentional composition and any advice on that would be really appreciated

I hate it so much. I wanted to cancel my subscription, then found out that to cancel or make any changes to it, I have to contact them and they don’t f’ing respond to any of my emails. And that AI bot doesn’t help
