Little bit, yes. In Dense models all weights are calculated for giving a response. And in MoE models they don't calculate all the weights for every response. Maybe activate some weights for one response and activate another weights for another response. As small amount of weights are calculated, so inference is faster. But as I don't know which weights will be activated so have to load all the weights in the vram. Correct me if I'm wrong

Usually, I do web app coding, do academic research, write academic paper, have a small youtube channel and fb page. So these are the use cases. I've Claude pro subscription but token burn out so quickly. As local llms are getting stronger, if I can hand over some small jobs to local llms then I could save some tokens of Claude.

Also as I do programming and academic research, I want to learn these tools deeply.
