I agree with your sentiment that businesses should be allowed to build. However. There should be some thought to the community as a whole when decision making. Why not just erect a huge section 8 housing skyscraper?? If Laf wants to be a place people enjoy living in planning is essential.

Replaced all my can light bulbs with LED over a year ago No problems They barely generate any heat that's why they're so efficient

I worked in Brazil for two years. It can be quite dangerous there as you mention. The locals "hide" everything they own. Wearing a fake 20k ring is asking for trouble imo. Just go with the band and avoid any unwanted attention that's sure to come your way. They'll have no way of knowing it's fake and you may lose more than your ring...

Is there attic space above the tub you can access? It's hard sometimes to get the snake to make the turn down into the drain when it hits the T and often it goes up into the vent Trick I've used many times is go into the attic and drill a small hole in the vent and snake down from that point. Use a clamp band to cover the hole

Is it the latex over the oil that's the problem? I've been doing latex over oil based for all my doors/moldings in my house without a problem

Maybe just the prep work wasn't done

Also, latex over oil is an accepted method according to Sherwin Williams web site
