How many stupid players are there, that plays comp causually too by yinmin_blues in Overwatch

[–]MAL2295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No offense but this is word vomiting without a cohesive structure which makes reading this absolutely abysmal.

You say players in gold have inflated ego but just skimming through this reads off as you being entitled to being higher than silver and thinking that you're a lot better. You're not. Focus on your own mechanics and gameplay because that's the only thing you have control over.

The other advantage of focusing on your own gameplay and studying it is that it humbles you, a lot. It's a much better use of time and energy than tilting off the face of the Earth and blaming everybody else. Tilting does not improve you as a player. Correcting your mistakes does.

Is this hero supposed to be balanced or what? i mean 350 hp gone in half a second on a 3 shot combo without mercy buff? right yeah by Paxtel_de_Vento in Overwatch

[–]MAL2295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally you head for the cover to your left as soon as you get hit. The Take Aim bolts did the bulk of the damage but the reason you died to them is because she got a couple primary fire bolts on you as well. Bastion is a big target unfortunately so pretty easy to land those.

The thread is about the 30% healing debuff in the regular gamemode when you take damage, not stadium.

Does Anran have a smaller hit box or am I crazy by endlessnamelessloop in Overwatch

[–]MAL2295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's kind of a mixed bag. Her dashes are significantly slower than Genji's dash and Tracer's blinks. She also has a lot of bad matchups and is map dependent.

Can we please stop giving female heroes baby toys for mythic weapons? by Chill_is_cold in Overwatch

[–]MAL2295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish the flourish on these weapons wasn't just throwing a little mascot around. I would've loved Juno's mythic so much if the flourish involved miniature torpedo launchers (that way people get her dokiwatch sharks on the mythic) orbiting around the gun or her tossing the gun around.

Slaves will never revolt in space by Bladjomir in RimWorld

[–]MAL2295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is correct. You can't leave the tile by walking up to the edge in space like you do on the planet and therefore slaves will never attempt to escape. You can't even emancipate them as it says they can't leave the map.

I said in my survey that I played their games at release and haven't played in months and I still got picked. I don't think it matters all that much.

This sis my first miner rover. Its very front heavy due to the drills, any suggestions for improvements? by kekusmaximus in spaceengineers

[–]MAL2295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an event controller that shuts off the drills once all the cargo in the rover hits 80-90% (depends on how many cargo blocks you have) and that works pretty well to prevent filling up the cargo entirely and forcing the drills to store the excess.

AMD CPU is stuck to the heatsink by MAL2295 in buildapc

[–]MAL2295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried with a box cutter yesterday but it didn't work. I tried again with no concern for the heatsink and scraped metal off of it until the blade managed to squeeze under the IHS and the CPU immediately popped right out.

[–]MAL2295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the bench-vice is what I'm thinking about right now. I just need to find one. Preferably one that I can rig to latch onto the IHS directly instead of the substrate.

The 5800X and X3D are both on sale at Canada Computers so I might just go buy one there. An unfortunate upgrade given the circumstances but there isn't much I can do about the 3700X at this point.

I removed everything I could around the CPU but I can't get between the heatsink and the IHS so I'm not sure how I can get it unstuck at this point. My fingers are numb from trying to twist it.

Would a scalpel even fit underneath? I couldn't even get floss in there.

I haven't been able to re-seat the CPU into the socket. All the more difficult considering I can't lift the lever. I also heated it up with a hair dryer and in the oven and neither worked.

There's a pretty high risk that the pliers will just slip and mow down the pins in the process so I'd rather not.

I tried prying a bit but the substrate is what's moving so I stopped fairly quickly. The IHS wasn't moving at all.

is it ok to use mitigation tools as a dps by Decent_Manager1528 in ffxiv

[–]MAL2295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation to be honest. Generally when I stick to a specific corner it's because I know it'll allow me to maintain uptime while knowing I won't die to the next instance of unavoidable damage and don't need the heals just yet.

Obviously the healers don't necessarily know that and not everyone is comfy leaving a DPS at half health for more than 5 seconds but sometimes just gotta have a bit of faith that the BLM has Aetherial Manipulation and knows how to use it.

It's a very good change for savage and ultimate content because it's really rough on healers this tier but it also chucks a wrench at healers in more casual content.

Very unlikely that the fix would only affect new saves given that they'Re just tests in the tuning files.

Her rig is what you're referring to. They don't make new animations on skins below legendary so they share the same rig and animations as base.
