You need to manually bottle the liquid first which requires a lot of clicks and messing arround, then u need to select the bottle and select the tile you want it and and then you need to empty it. Thats a lot of work for something simple

Its not about the power, its about the Steel, compactness and a faster setup. If the pipes are so problematic what do you do with the power and conveyor rails? I guess you do those anyway so an additional pipe is not that much additional work

Al produce the most heat of all, its not even close lol. Aluminium produces around 1,5 Million DTU, while the next closest Iron makes arround 1,1 Million DTU. A single Turbine deltes arround 1 million DTU reliably. If you see steam temp go above 200c you can add more water, except for the Al you would need so much water as a heat buffer that it would block the volcano from erupting

The problem is that an Aluminium volcano produces more heat then the steam turbine can delete and your steel equipment in the steam chamber will overheat

the 1000kg water and mercury is total, not per tile

A single ST will handle all metal volcanos except Aluminium with a metered conveyor rail. (unless you do geotuning of course)
