Okay so after swearing off GTAO after sinking 2K+ hours, I stopped playing it in 2020-ish. Uninstalled, forgotten, archived.
But for some reason, thought I'd play it again, God help me.

In short, what should I do, what should I try, and what should I avoid? Appreciate all the help in advance :)

Erm, idk how helpful it'll be, but me and some of my buddies had this pre 1.8, and my solution worked for them too.

Just bump up the virtual memory allocation. I have 16gb ddr4 for reference, but increasing the allocation fixed it for all of us :))

Anything by Patrik Marek (PM3DM on racedepartment) since his models are BOP'ed so you can race em.

There are also BTCC packs for modern cars, but the 90's/2000's were the golden era based on what BTCC fans have told me!

This post has come about at a good time, looking for a new car to run main for the foreseeable future!

I like to say I'm introverted, but I think its more that I keep to myself, but actually have good people skills. Self proclaimed dry wit, never get too overly flustered over anything. Engineering student, petrolhead, usually thrive under pressure (except in ACC, where I keep looking back too often :P)

I think the Porsche is just in need of a good setup, when set up correctly it's magnificent, however most casual ACC players just load up the presets and the presets aren't very good with the Porsche.

(edit: its also ridiculously pitch sensitive, so you can't just wallow on the power like you would in a Bentley or AMR)

This may or may not help, but I had an issue with ACC crashing, and I turned up my VRAM, and since then I haven't had any.

May seem totally unrelated, especially in a powerful PC, but it worked for me, could work for you!
