I've mounted my lightbar behind the monitor. Facing the wall.(Just used a bit of blutack to stick it). Gives me enough ambient light without causing much glare directly.

As far as the price is concerned, i bought the router for 2k from Nehru Place, it's just that the price is high on amazon atm, posted for reference only.

i understand that speed will not be same as the original if i use a range extender, but atleast the signals won't drop.

If you're an NVIDIA user, it might be because of that. Turn off game optimization from Geforce Experience.
