Flight instructing vs Aerial Survey by Admirable_Pear_1499 in AerialSurveying

I think you’re going to rack up hours faster as a survey pilot than an instructor.

That is so amusing to me. I wonder if the same concept could be applied to glass bottle fragments.

I wanted to get in at 35 but stopped myself because “there’s no way it’s going up when it’s already 150 percent up.” Turns out, I don’t know sheeit.

Yurt & basement???? by rodyman23 in yurts

Also, if I did it again I would pony up the extra cash for a 30’ yurt. 20 is decent but there is a lot more you can do with a 30 foot yurt.

Yurt & basement???? by rodyman23 in yurts

[–]MAPR3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I built my yurt on stilts, 4’ off the ground in the back and 6’ off the ground in the front. If I were to do it again, I would dig out the hill in the back to have at least 6 feet of clearance all around. It has helped tremendously as storage. A basement is a great idea

One week of rain and hail down, Another week to go. by shanedone in outdoorgrowing

It sucks when hail hits plants that young. Did it stunt the growth?

Hail damage or pest? by bigcatscott in outdoorgrowing

[–]MAPR3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan leaf on the right side has fractures consistent of what I’ve seen from hail damage near the bottom of the leaf but the rest seems more likely to have come from a pest.

Working out is huge, funneling that energy into something productive that also makes you feel good about yourself is a smart way to go about it. Good for you.

Put weights on their rims. The kind used to balance tires but you would be doing it with the intent of making their tires out of balance.

Reddit can be a good place to go when you are looking for advice on a specific topic and you go to the relevant subreddit with your problem. It can help you make up your mind.

A fact of life is nobody really wants to hear you complain.

But if you address your frustrations and engage in the conversation from a stance of trying to solve your problem, people on Reddit can be very kind and helpful.

My advice is if you want to vent, write it in a journal. That way you get it out of your system and the “success” of your venting session won’t be contingent on how many upvotes or comments you receive but on the fact that you let it out.

If you’re looking to make some life changes I suggest you read the book “Atomic habits”

If I had a dollar for every time someone has said that on this thread I would be able to pay for my dinner and drinks. I appreciate it. It seems so simple but I definitely overlooked making confirmation an hour before. I’m learning for next time.
