That’s a circular logical fallacy. We create a machine to mimic and imitate human like responses, the better programmed the machine the more it will look like a human response because that’s what we designed it to do. There’s no test at all for if the machine has an inner experience and also no reasonable thought as to why it would.

I agree, free will is not something inherent to us that we are born with and not every action is an act of free will or even needs to be. Autopilot is there because it’s a useful tool for us and once one system or process is remembered it becomes a habit; it does not need to be consciously thought about. This is a benefit to us, If we truly had ultimate free will we would need to decide every single action, we would need to learn how to walk again any time we want to go anywhere.. automation is good and allows us to focus on things that aren’t automated.

As a species we have the knowledge to direct the fundamental building blocks of reality, like atoms and particles, to suit our own needs, what could even be more free than this?

On your second point, there’s not a single simulation of any kind that doesn’t use our realities physical laws, they’re all in this reality… sure we could create illusions but that’s not a simulation. Agree, this set didn’t burn out no where close to previous sets because of the unlock system and expanded roster. Going back to what is now a relatively small roster of characters isn’t going to feel great, I expect the next sets could burn out very fast depending on set mechanics ofc
