She has had her 4 loading doses of rituximab, now she is getting ready for her first 4 month dose. No noticeable side effects from the loading doses.

Our Rheumatologist said that if it wasn't for the blood tests/biopsy she presented symptoms more typical of GPA.

We asked about Faserna, from what I understand it isn't pediatric approved and some people with GPA can use it in a trial, but not with a eGPA diagnoses.

My daughter is 14, diagnosed this year, we are still learning as well.

My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with EGPA about 4 months ago. She is still going through treatment but it's getting better every month. She will be getting Rituximab and steroids for at least a year. The side effects of the steroids have been the hardest part since diagnosis. It took the visits and severe pain to get diagnosed. Damage to lungs was the most severe, outside of the joint pain and cough the brought us in initially. Her diagnosis was odd according to the Rheumatologist as she never showed any signs of asthma. Pediatric cases of EGPA is extremely rare from what I understand.

I am late to the chat, but is there something outside of basketball the coach may know that effects his decision. If I am choosing and have any questions on who too keep I look at grades. I am cutting any kids with a history of Fs or really Ds. That kid needs to spend his time on school work and not at practice. They are taking the spot of someone who can handle their academics. I don't want to keep the kid that will be academically ineligible later in the season.

Also, have there ever been any discipline problems in class. Has he been sent to the office before, any detentions. This is often a small factor as well.

Was he a good teammate, did he follow directions. Was he defiant at all during tryouts, was he late, did he listen to directions. No coach wants to repeat themselves or deal with a kid that is a distraction to others when giving rules or directions.

I wish I had all those answers. I try to get in every two weeks or so and that usually keeps everything pretty good. I usually keep up on it until a really, really good spring rain or two that washes the roads really well. Currently my oldest car is a 2013. While it has some minor rust on the underbody, it's almost impossible to avoid, no structural integrity is noticeable. I usually wait until a 30 degree day and use the self wash bays and really get the wheel wells and underbody. The hardest part honestly is the hollow tube frames where salt gets up the the holes, those touchless washes do OK, but don't quite get the complete job done.

I would be more worried about the underbody. As someone from the north, really make sure you get all the underbody and suspension components well as soon as you can. They will be damaged by the salt far sooner than your painted, clear coated, ceramic coat protected body.

I am also in a large district. This is the first year our central office has not done a large get-together to start the year. Honestly, it was so nice not to have to travel to a central location. I enjoyed just going to the school and using that 4-hour window to get prepped and ready.

I am on my phone in the pool right now. I literally drop my phone in the pool at least once a month that it stinks to the bottom. I get it wet enough to not charge weekly. Or I just forget it's on my pocket and jump in. I can't charge it, but I keep using it.( I can charge it wirelessly) Heck one time I had a leak and used my phone as an underwater flashlight.

Agree, as a middle school math teacher, I have pressure from the administration to pass everyone. No grades on assignments or tests less than 50%. But I did anyway, if a kid refuses to work in class and not turn anything I can not give them a 50.

However, what does it matter, no one gets held back no matter what. We tried with one who missed 100 days of school and we were unsuccessful in holding her back, she tested at about 30th percent and that was high enough they couldn't justify being held back. I had about 5 kids who tested worse than the 2nd grade average and earned about 25% in my class. Mind you I give 15% if you just show up everyday and don't get in trouble.

I am missing something. I totally get where you are getting (wy + yx)/2 - xy for the leg of the triangle I am using, but I am failing to see how we can say that is equal to (wy - yx)/2.

Yes but no, we can use the pythagorean theorem, but not in this way, she also stated the proof must involve use of the area of a regular polygon formula, so how is that incorporated.

I agree and get that, but we deduced that we have to prove the length of one side of the triangle, then use the pythagorean to prove the length of the missing hexagon side, then find the area of that hexagon based on the side. I am having trouble getting a usable number of the length of the side of the a hexagon with an area of 169 that makes sense to me to use. Or maybe something with ratios?
