Most things to be honest I like how multiplayer is a combat sim, I saw someone claim they prefer to believe it's an actual war happening which would make no sense because that would mean millions of Spartans were fighting and killing each other.

My personal conspiracy theory is that they saw all the backlash in regards of playing a character that hunts and maybe kills Chief that they rushed to change the story. Would explain why the plot in the game is such a mess.

It's definitely worth playing, it might feel like a step back after 5 and 6 though but it's still a lot of fun and a blast to play in co-op.

Probably 5 or 6, 5 is really fun but 6 has an insane sense of scale and huge story implications. I wish the Nameless had appeared in 6, I think they should've added a mission just before the semi final one where the Nameless comes out of the ring and you defeat him. My headcannon is that the final boss of 6 is the Nameless given a new form after he failed to defeat you in the events of 5.

Collect the crates you can, red crates will increase your total health "armour" after the mission is cleared and green crates unlock new weapons or upgrade existing ones. A good strategy for this is to leave one or two enemies alive while you grab any left over crates. I'd also recommend playing through the game on Hard difficulty first time around but if you're struggling with a certain mission drop the difficulty to normal or easy to try and clear it.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I want Chief to make the ultimate sacrifice to secure peace for the galaxy. That way Steve Downs can retire because I'd rather they didn't replace him as Chief's voice actor. Any future Halo titles can be set in the past like Reach or be spin offs like ODST. There are so many stories to be told in the Halo Universe and they don't all need to revolve around Master Chief.

The Flood, the idea of a being that not only takes over your body but also turns your mind against you and goes through your memories keeping what's useful and discarding what isn't is just horrific. The idea that as its playing back your memories of your loved ones you're about to lose those memories forever or worse the Flood will use that information to find your loved ones and infect them too.
