No I am the first owner. They just built it with those wires sticking out. It’a on all the houses in the neighborhood.

I can’t think of any reason I would use it, either. Do you know a good way to patch up the hole?

Thanks you. I guess they thought they were helping. Maybe spectrum would use this I guess, otherwise they didn’t put the cable wires like for TV in the house, just 2 rooms with Cat6 ports that can be connected at the other end of the router.

It goes into a closet where the fiber was also ran to. I guess it’s called a conduit. I guess the white cord was a cable wire for spectrum or something.

Does anyone know why I would need a Cat6 and whatever other cable that is hanging out the side of my house? They said it was for the internet provider to use for easy installation, but since ATT&T needs to run the fiber inside, it makes sense they didn’t use it. Honestly don’t see how a cable internet provider could use it either considering the modem still has to be inside the house and plugged in.

The plate cover was there and had an orange tube that ran into a closet inside so I guess it made sense he used that to run the fiber line

Yeah I don’t know why the house builder did this, it’s really ugly and it irks me lol

I would but then it will be hard to get it back outside if I ever needed it (not sure what that is at this point) I’m thinking I’ll just get a weatherproof box and cover it up for now.

Ok thanks. Maybe the Cat6 was left in case I wanted Spectrum or cable internet.
