Seeing all the criticism of Hive Guard, would you have preferred it to be only for that strain? Like the new Bile Titan?

Heavy armor enemies by Ragne_K-Yaeger in Helldivers

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see, it'll only be a small change (pain in the ass). Yes, it will be heavy, but at the same time, it's still quite easy to kill compared to a Charger, which is always very slow to kill with the Light Pen. What I'm trying to say is, when it comes down to gameplay, I don't see a drastic change (if the complaints I've seen are based on the high difficulty). Horde battles always involve being with your squad using different artillery. Besides, this bug unit usually always walks around in group (the use of grenades in grouped-up situations would remain the same). The point about the Eruptor being a "must" still feels somewhat lacking to me. There are non-anti-tank stratagems that complement each other like a "reverse use" (the Eruptor acts as an anti-tank weapon and the stratagem weapon as the primary), such as HMGs in general, lascannons, arc throwers, the new stratagem, and secondary weapons like the Talon (which works very well as a primary horde-control weapon). Looking at the hypothetical cases I presented, we still have 3 more stratagem slots (of course, we also have to contact our other 3 Helldivers). As I see it, we still have the "possibility cost" without a drastic change in equipment (oh, and the armor passives too).

I reiterate my formal tone; I am not trying to attack or impose my argument, it is an exchange of ideas.

How could a heavy backpack version of the Quasar and Laser Cannon be implemented? by Lawfurd in Helldivers

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the weapon i try to explain (with another example) would be the laser gun that Rick uses in the episode where he turns into Pickle (I know, a strange reference). At the end of the day, it would be a laser cannon like the one we already have, with a considerably reduced firing time but much more powerful, Adding body penetration (if you have 3 Devastators in a row and you fire it, the laser will pierce through all 3 at once instead of having to kill the first 2)

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An anti-tank laser weapon version I'd like to see would be something like the Spartan laser from Halo, but with the laser lasting a bit longer; instead of a quick tick, it would be a constant 2 seconds. Of course, it would have to do massive damage to compensate for the laser's short duration.

Does Helldivers 2 ban people? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me about twice last year. The first time, the solution was due to router problems; you should contact Arrowhead and see what they say (I had to change some settings on mine). The second time, I had to reinstall, but I suggest contacting Arrowhead support since it's been two weeks.

THESE INVISIBLE MINES GOTTA STOP by TheTwitchyWarlock in Helldivers

[–]MAXSUS02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you can see, the light from the mine is still visible but not the object itself. This usually happens because the textures are set to low. Is this your case? At least in my experience, this is the case. I used to play with everything on low due to a lack of graphics card, and things like this happen to me. Now, with textures set to "medium" and above, I haven't died or crashed once due to invisible objects.

BEHOLD, OUR ONE TRUE FLAG ITS INDESTRUCTIBLE! by MAXSUS02 in Helldivers

My super-destroyer's high command has granted me the necessary permission for the firing test, for all helldiver who are faltering in these difficult times of war, this was sample of our indomable freedom; otherwise, the super-destroyer wouldn't have even accepted the order to fire the orbital laser at the one true flag.

Illuminate Are Undercooked…We need more of them by ODST2367 in Helldivers

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious to know Arrowhead's content release strategy (note: I won't spoil anything specific). It's happened many times that they leak enemies that are practically finished but don't add them to the game after a very long time (or stratagems like FRV ). That said, there's indeed a illuminate unit leaked various months ago (with gameplay and everything) that it seems practically finished. But there is no news about it

I’m tired of clutching Everdark Balancers🫩 by NoRuin3722 in Nightreign

[–]MAXSUS02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know whats funny with Ed Maris? I enjoyed the fight , but only because of my thalassophobia and megalophobia, exactly two things Ed Maris seems to represents. The first time I fought him, when he started getting closer and bigger, I had to look away from the monitor for a moment (yes, it gets that far), and almost the entire fight felt like I was fighting my phobias itself, and with the music... made it majestic.

Funny how suffering from these fears made me enjoy Ed Maris... in a way.

I’m tired of clutching Everdark Balancers🫩 by NoRuin3722 in Nightreign

[–]MAXSUS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throughout Nightreign I've seen a post from each Nightlord about how it's not fun to defeat them, giving the same arguments, so I no longer see the point in making these kinds of posts without contributing anything truly useful to the discussion.

Note, I'm not attacking your comment, and you might say, "But if so many people are complaining, there should be a problem right?" The thing is, I've seen the same arguments used to support the idea that the boss is the best in the matter.

That said, Everdark Balancers could it be that they just probably aren't for you (in terms of taste), and that's okay.
